A Series of Tubes - 2020. So much has changed with my art practice since I made this work. Everything from inks to the paper that they're drawn on, even my Axidraw is newer and runs different hardware and software. I'm still fascinated by the visual identity of this project
Another plot done! Fun fact, I went to lean over my table to see the details, and a single drop of rain fell from my hair and pretty much ruined the whole thing.

I'm incredibly excited that my generative project ORI will be the next curated release on . 11 months of grueling work has led to this moment, right here, and I can't wait to share it with you!

ORI // Unfolded - 26 looping animations demonstrating the folds behind my generative art project ORI. Each fold affects every fold before it, and the animation sequentially layers them. Easy to see, hard to explain.
I'm excited to announce my project is an interactive art installation, "The Algorithmic Art Studio." It seeks to demonstrate the link between aesthetics, curation, generative art, and plotters. The installation will be at SIGGRAPH 2023 in LA from August 6th-10th. Details ⤵
The most satisfying part of this artwork is after 10 hours of drawing, the plotter does one final, single line to finish it off. This single stroke shows the path of the forces which cause all of the chaos within the system.
Today marks a milestone in my artistic career. 11 months ago I set out to participate in the premiere generative art platform online
@artblocks_io
, and today I finally did it. I put in hundreds of hours making ORI something new and different, and it paid off. Thank you everyone!
Tried to combine a fluid sim with some active geometry. The results were slow.... After 3.5 days and 600gb of data of running I let this one go. Love the results but there wont be many of this type of work in my future. Listed on

My next project is all about breaking the rules. Instead of cohesion across the collection, I am specifically trying to make the most diverse set of outputs from a single autonomous generative system to date on the blockchain.

. It is an open edition, long-form generative project with new dynamics. Its goal is to be the most diverse generative system deployed to the blockchain.
How? Breaking some established rules of Gen Art. Details ⤵

I took my code to the next level with some new techniques to clip lines by polys. You'll be able to see how it's made when you preview the NFTs in the exhibit. Each drawing computes around 25,000,000 intersections with JS. Nov 30th!

, I made a thing. Sometimes I feel like gold on black is played out, but it just looks so darn fresh. I actually used two shares of gold on this one. For sale on my Etsy store.

Today’s drop day! ORI opens up for minting at 1pm EST on . Thank you everyone who helped me over the last year in my journey on this project. First 25 will get a little something else special post-launch.
The next step of ORI is here. Today I'm launching two ways to collect ORI physicals for token holders: high-quality prints and a unique 30-edition plotter drawing collection. Both use modified versions of the ORI program to bring the utmost quality to collectors.

🥳 ORI launched on
@artblocks_io
one year ago today. It has connected me with many amazing collectors, curators, and artists worldwide. Gen art on the blockchain is truly life-changing, and I love this space and will continue to fight for its survival. Below, some OOB renders.
I just took my Series of Tubes generative plotter algorithm and adapted it for screens. Wrote this javascript code during downtime and before I knew it I was 5k lines deep. It was a blast coming up with different ways to distort my lines. NFT on FND.
When building ORI I made stripes geometry that was wildly inconsistent. Often, the outputs were unpleasant, but when they worked, they were some of my favorites. Since I couldn't always get a solid result, they never made it to the final algo.
I've been using wavy hand gestures to describe how ORI folds geometry to everyone at Marfa this weekend. Here's a much better way of visualizing how the algorithm works.
