This is a joy to watch. Ian Hislop, full-throttle, absolutely shredding Jake Berry on Peston. Hislop doesn’t give an inch and talks at Berry the way Tory MPs hate and just can’t cope with (“You can’t just talk nonsense and not be interrupted!”). Superb.

Spent an hour in park this am with two year old. He kept telling passers by to ‘stop’ traffic cop style. Joggers, dog walkers, old West Indian ladies, skate punks....Pretty much everyone froze and waited to be called on. People desperate for a bit of joy. Heartening.

Back in 70s/80s Glasgow Media Group Bad News books showed implicit bias in news reporting of strikes. Bosses 'offer', unions 'demand' and 'threaten', well publicised break in services apparently 'chaos'. Everyone of those bad boys was still on every news broadcast today
