Bo Horvat on people downplaying the seriousness of COVID: "I've had the flu before, and this doesn't hit you like a normal flu. It's not something you want to get, it's not something you want your family go through either. I can't stress enough to follow the protocols."

Pettersson: "This has always been my dream, what I've always been working for. Now I'm here living my dream, playing in Vancouver."
Reporter: What team did you dream of playing for?
EP: "Vancouver. I was 5 years old and had a Vancouver t-shirt... Google it."

@Ryan_Kesler
: Everybody has regrest in life and the way I handled the media when I got traded was a regret. At the same time, you live & learn. For me I want to make things right and we had great teams and some of my fondest memories are wearing a Canucks uniform.
Pettersson: "It's been awesome, to be honest. I've always dreamed to play here, to play in Vancouver, for Vancouver, to live in Vancouver... it's amazing. It's a beautiful city. Great fans, passionate fans. I'm really excited for the future"
Pagnotta - Holtby I believe received a better offer from Edmonton, and opted to take less to play in Vancouver. He is pretty excited to play for the Canucks.
Jake Virtanen reveals in post-game conversation with
@laurence_mira
that before they opened the room to reporters following the game, Elias Pettersson with game puck in hand told his teammates he'd dreamed of this moment his entire life & was happy to share it with each of them.
Tanev on his best memory in Van: Bieksa scoring the OT winner against San Jose is something I'll never forget. The fans and city after that game will be engrained in my mind. I remember how great the city was and thinking I could be a Canuck for the rest of my career.
#Canucks
"I think you owe the city a little bit more than that."

Pettersson on Stecher's goal and celebration: I saw the celebration and wanted to go congratulate him. What Troy had to go through in the summer was devastating. I just wanted to go hug him.

Virtanen on battle with Phaneuf: "Before warm-up I told him he was gonna be mine all night. Then he hit me pretty hard. I let him know that was a weak hit and to hit me harder next time. I stood him up next time. It was a good battle."

goalie Braden Holtby on choosing Vancouver: "It's pretty obvious that the team is heading in the right direction. The two things we were looking for as a family were a great place to live and a great place to win. This checked both boxes."

Post Game Show on Horvat: In the room in the intermission he was the one doing the talking. He showed it on the ice. He did a great job, that's why he's our captain.
Lack on the Heritage Classic - "I was young and didn't realize what it meant to Luongo until I saw him on the ice with his kids. I was so focused on just getting the win at the time, but looking back at it now I wish I had called in sick or something."
Horvat: It's been a heck of a year. I couldn't be prouder of our guys the way they handled themselves on and off the ice. We took them to 7 games... Shouldn't hang our heads, should learn from it. We already said in the room we can't wait to get back next year
#Canucks
Kevin Bieksa on the Aquilini family: It's three brothers that really care about that team and the city. Yeah, they're around a little bit but they have the right to be. When he goes to Twitter to support his coaching and GM, that's being a great leader.
#Canucks
Bieksa on 31 Thoughts: "I don’t think players are scared of fines or suspensions at all. I never was. When you’re making millions and millions of dollars a year do you care if you’re fined $2000? I mean the only guy that would is Burrows cause he’s so cheap."
Horvat: We knew how it felt when they were winning, laughing and having a good time on the bench. We keep that in the back of our head... It was a lot quieter and we're going to try and keep it that way.

Post Game Show: "I watched Teemu Selanne practice that chip every single day, was that off the cuff or do you practice that?"
JT: "Listen I've practiced that every day for 10 years & I've never had 1 go in. It worked perfect, little fortunate"😂
Boudreau, on Garland dropping the gloves: "We finally had somebody showing some emotion, and it happened to be the smallest guy on the ice. Once he did that I thought the bench perked up for the 4-on-4, we scored 4-on-4, and it was a different ball game from there."
#Canucks
Jacob Markstrom, on going to the All-Star Game: "There's two great hockey players joining me, and I feel like they needed to send a big brother to look after Quinn and Petey. So that's probably going to be my main job there. *laughs*"

Brock Boeser, on the J.T. Miller trade: "Looks pretty good, doesn't it? He's a great guy. He's really good for some of us young guys. He's pushing us to play better and play smarter. He's a huge addition."

Horvat: “I love beating the Leafs. There’s nothing better. All the Leafs fans back home, all my buddies and stuff... I like beating the Leafs.”
#Canucks
Horvat on people saying Pettersson needed to start scoring: "Yeah and then he goes bar down tonight. For all those people saying that, just shoved it right back in their face. It's 82 games for a reason and he's just getting started."
#Canucks
Boudreau, on Halak: "I had extensive talks with Ian Clark. We have a back-to-back coming up and we didn't think it would be fair to throw him into that without him having played. Listen, Halak's played very well in the past. He kicked my butt ten years ago, I'll never forget it."
Jannik Hansen on Virtanen: "Jake has all the tools. He can skate, shoot, and hit. He can skate like Mayson Raymond, but has 40 pounds on him. He can hit like Raffi Torres. You're dying for him to put it all together."
#Canucks
Pettersson - "The refs already have a tough job. I'm not looking for calls. I don't want to have a reputation. I'm not embellishing or diving. I want to play hard hockey and play with respect. All I can control is playing my best hockey."
Hughes on Tanev's impact in his development: I don't think you can put a price on it. he does a lot of things in the d-zone that I can't do. Chris is the heart and soul of the team, it's nice to see him get the goal. He's helped me a lot both on and off the ice.
#Canucks
DiPietro: "You know it's pretty cool taking a look up and seeing Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski across the ice and shooting on me. Obviously when they score on you it's not too good but I had to pinch myself and stay in the moment. Something I'll remember for the rest of my life."
OEL on joining Vancouver: That's why I put them on my list and wanted to come here. They have guys ready to be superstars and win in this league. I want to help young guys and be on a winning team.
#Canucks
Schmidt: Vancouver was definitely not on my modified no trade list. I don’t even think I knew the news yet and Holtby was already texting me. It’s awesome being his teammate again. A lot of guys have reached out and it just makes you feel that this is a good group.
Mikael Samuelsson: "When I'm coming home and my 13 year old son is sitting on the computer, like he is almost too much, who is he watching? Yeah, it's Pettersson. I say, why are you watching him? 'Well, I want to be like him.' I haven't heard him say that before."
Gary Bettman, with a laugh: "It was nice to see the former GMs all got a nice ovation from the crowd. Sometimes fans can critical of hockey executives... You know, I think they had me confused with Roberto Luongo, because they kept going Lu Lu Lu Lu. Or was that boo boo boo boo?"
Tanev on playing with Hughes: I loved playing with Quinn. We had great chemistry on and off the ice. He's a hell of a player and will be the best defenceman in the league at some point in the near future.
#Canucks
"Chris is the first person who brought me in and took me for dinner. For a young player, it's important. If there's ever a problem or I needed anything its been Chris."

@Ryan_Kesler
: My one regret is not winning a Cup in Vancouver and winning it for the fans. I think about that a lot - what the parade would be like. (1/2)
Boudreau on Höglander: I've said hi to him. I want to get to know him. He's a very quiet guy. But when it's on his stick he knows what to do with it. That's the mark of a potentially good scorer.
#Canucks
Bieksa: I've gone 15+ years without talking about Fedorov story publicly & believe its not a story that needs to shared by me. It worked out well for me but easily could not, could've been end of my career so not something I boast about.
But I did dust the guy & he asked for it.
Benning on Boeser: "It's hard to find guys that can shoot the puck and score like he can. You can find other pieces as you rebuild your team. We've been happy with him since we drafted him. I don't know where this stuff comes from. I have no intention of trading Brock Boeser."
Quinn Hughes, on if he had a "welcome to the NHL" moment: "Yeah, I definitely had one, because the ref said that first shift. I was just like... holy crap. The ref said, 'Welcome to the show, kid,' and I was like... Damn."

Elias Pettersson, asked about his big two-on-one break-up in OT: "That was Vancouver media's biggest issue with me -- that I wasn't good in the defensive zone. But I'm glad to make a defensive play." 👀👀👀

: When MTL signed Anderson to that extension, I had a feeling it was going to be trouble. When you go outside your team, its going to burn someone on the inside. They’re going to say “I bled for you & you’re giving that guy money?” I think that’s how Gallagher feels
Dorsett: I try to stick up for my teammates & play hard. Early on, they said "Unless we're really hurt - don't take a penalty or fight someone just cause." Shows what kind of people they are. Lot of people say they're soft but you don't get to 1000pts in NHL by being soft (1/3)
Boudreau: "I thought they played really hard. They were aggressive and on the puck. We made a lot of correctable mistakes but they're teachable mistakes we can fix at practice."
#Canucks
Boudreau: "We can't expect to win every night if it's only Horvat and Miller and Pettersson and Garland doing the scoring. We need all our forwards to start contributing, and I didn't think a lot of them were contributing a lot very much tonight."
#Canucks
Bieksa on EP: I'm trying to figure this kid out. Super Swedish guy obviously, he's doing a interview with Scott Oake and eventually he goes "uhh that's a lot of questions." I just had a good chuckle at it. He's young but he seems like he has a maturity about him, a swagger.
