‘Applications’ that need the screen are accessible by just speaking a word. E.g Here's the weather, and my calendar within a second of saying the word. -Way faster than a phone -No risk of getting sucked into a distraction hole -Does what it’s meant for and gets out of the way

I just learnt that miniclip is shutting down its servers :( Old, physical game consoles are easily preserved Adobe flash deprecation took away so many online games I grew up with. And so many were made by tiny indie developers that they’re likely lost forever. And now miniclip.

Excited to announce my first foray into tools for thought Just prototyped a completely spatial note-taking tool that is both extremely easily accessible and gives you a canvas with almost infinite malleability- write, draw, squiggle etc. Presenting: paper taped to a cupboard

Something I think I'm 99th percentile in the world at is personal logging I have years of diary entries, videos, notes, docs etc. In 2019, I even started recording many convos with friends. Seems odd, but I'd recommend it- having that record and seeing patterns is amazing

CAMULET testing going really well!! A fun, screenless camera ACTUALLY works. Doesn't get in the way, you stay in the moment when capturing memories and without any effort it's on your phone. Semester is finally over and I can't WAIT to assemble the first batch I'm selling

There’s a pattern I’ve seen with the most interesting teens I’ve spoken to: -interested in coding/tech/bio/etc. -their friends at school don’t want to learn anything/ find it a waste -they do just enough to stay afloat at school -spend their time actually learning

Funny how the good and bad guys in a vast majority of movies are actually the other way round. The bad guy is usually the determinate optimist who wants to change things into their version of a better future And the good guy wants to just stop this and maintain status quo

Made a new iteration of my camera! Trying to think more about how we can make devices beautiful/ personalised/ etc. It’s a “digital disposable”. The spontaneity of a disposable (don’t obsess over framing etc) with the convince of digital (saves images over wifi!)

Starting learning scheme and that led me down a Lisp rabbit hole. This thing seems way more interesting than I’d thought 😮 There’s some stuff that I’d definitely grasp faster if I could ask questions though. Any lisp experts out there mind answering some?

Taking an OS class is like taking a classics class where you touch the ideas that underly like everything else - unix, filesystems, hardware I/O, shells, sockets and networking, threading/concurrency... Very interesting and slightly scary but also illuminating

Everyone should be doing science on a personal scale all the time. What food makes you most alert in the morning? What exact amount of caffeine optimizes your mood? How long do you need to run to minmax it? People have forgotten you don't need a phd to do science.

Did a lil experiment in the last few days where I used the patterns in the latent space of text passed through LLMs to detect writers! Can it work? Seems like *yes*, although I'd need to revisit to make sure everything was as rigorous as it could be.
