This year so far, I have spent 4-4 months each in Patna and Gurgaon. Here's a comparison- 1. P: If power gets cut, comes back within 10 minutes; G: 3 hours of continuous power cut once a week and frequent power cuts daily. 2. P has much less potholes on the roads than G.

आज @nvncoolone जी से भेंट हुई। मुझे यह पुस्तक उन्होंने उपहार स्वरूप दी। वे अपने स्तर पर चित्तौड़गढ़ में एक छोटा-सा पुस्तकालय चला रहे हैं जिसके लिए मेरे पास जितनी पढ़ी हुई पुस्तकें थीं, मैंने उन्हें दान कर दीं। घर में पुस्तकें सजाकर रखने से बेहतर है कोई उन्हें पढ़े।

जयशंकर प्रसाद स्तब्ध कर देते हैं। ऐसा वर्णन! सबसे रोचक लगा 'प्रभावशालिनी' शब्द का प्रयोग, क्योंकि प्रभावशाली एक विशेषण है, यानी विकारी शब्द, लेकिन प्रयोग करते समय हम प्रायः लिंग के अनुसार उसमें परिवर्तन करना भूल जाते हैं। जयशंकर प्रसाद हमें #हिंदी सिखाते हैं😊

जिस भी क्षेत्र में आपको talent का अभाव दिखेगा, उसके पीछे का कारण पैसे का अभाव है। भारत में research क्यों नहीं होता, क्योंकि उसमें पैसा नहीं है। स्कूली शिक्षा अच्छी क्यों नहीं है, क्योंकि शिक्षकों को अच्छा वेतन नहीं मिलता। मीडिया में कम IQ के लोग होने का भी कारण यही है।

गणित वगैरह तो आती नहीं गुमटी पत्रकारों को। साहित्य का भी ज्ञान नहीं है। कोई बोलता है पंचलाइट मुंशी प्रेमचंद की रचना है। कोई बोलता है सिंहासन खाली करो दुष्यंत कुमार की कविता है और मैला आँचल उपन्यास नहीं अपितु कविता है। जो गधे पूरी तरह से फिसड्डी होते हैं, वो पत्रकार बन जाते हैं।

#BookerPrize जीतने वाली पहली हिंदी पुस्तक बनी है #रेत_समाधि। सोच रहे हैं पढ़कर देखा जाए। वैसे मैं अधिकांश पुस्तकें #Kindle पर ही पढ़ती हूँ क्योंकि हार्ड कॉपी से आधे मूल्य पर मिल जाती है। न पुस्तक carry करने की चिंता होती है, अंधेरे में भी पढ़ सकते हैं, आदि।

का एक बड़ा भाग (कई अनुछेद) सिर्फ अपनी कुछ पंक्तियाँ जोड़कर अपने नाम से प्रकाशित करवाना चाहते थे। उनकी निर्लज्जता और मेरे क्रोध की तब कोई सीमा नहीं रह गई जब इसके बावजूद उन्होंने अपनी गलती नहीं स्वीकारी। Naming-shaming में मैं विश्वास नहीं रखती हूँ इसलिए वे बच गए हैं। सत्यमेव जयते।
