Apparently when Tommy Stevens entered the transfer portal, he personally called Archie Manning to ask if he was still allowed to come to Manning Camp. Archie said yes. Few weeks later, Tommy called and he was going to Mississippi State. Archie joked "Well, now I don't know..."
