National Day of Reflection
On this, the first anniversary of the first lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have dedicated trees of remembrance to those lost over the past year.
Monmouthshire County Council’s Chairman Sheila Woodhouse has shared her condolences after the announcement of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip’s passing on Friday 9th April 2021.
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
It's not just goats taking advantage of the empty streets! These sheep were spotted enjoying themselves on a roundabout in an empty playground in Monmouthshire 🐑
As our rescue activities continue we have teams out visiting impacted properties and people. We know we can’t make it better but we will throw everything we have at trying to help in the months ahead. 2/2
It's always nice when someone takes the time to thank us. We received this message from a resident in Bulwark last week thanking Gary Taylor and Alex Ryall; two of our waste operatives who took the time to sing Happy Birthday to a lady who lives on her own. Well done guys! 🙏⭐️🎤
We know many parents and guardians will have questions about the re-opening of schools following the Welsh Government’s announcement. We're working with our schools to ensure we can do this as safely as possible. Please bear with us. We'll update people once plans are finalised.
