These are the 6 reasons you are not FBS D1 1 Too Small 2 Too Slow 3 No aggression 4 Soft on contact 5 No quickness/Explosion. 6 Bad academics Not the size of your High School Not because your coach hates you Not because of out of position Not because of scheme Kinda simple.

Not long ago kids played football for the competition, fun and friends. Seems like kids now play football for the fame, scholarships, and ego. JV player makes 5 catches and wants to know how to get the video to college coaches. The delusion is real in High School Football today

Instead of paying thousands to be marketed by a guru or recruiting service, buy your Head Coach a coffee and sit down with him for 30 minutes and see what he can do for you. Your football coach is the best recruiting service and he is FREE.

Football Prospects with over a 3.8GPA and 25ACT really don't have to be that good at football to get scholarship money. There are so many colleges that need HIGH GPA/ACT kids that they are forced to take lesser players just to get them in the school. Hint Hint, Grades matter

Parents of prospects: Make sure your kid never misses a team lifting session from 8th grade till senior year. Add in a little extra positional training, hard work can do wonders. Demand above a 3.5GPA and work for it. You will open more doors with GPA than football ability.

The reason Class of 2019, 2020, 2021 kids feel like they are not being recruited or their coach has done nothing is because NCAA does not let college coaches call/talk to them yet. So BOGUS services prey on kids worried they are not getting interest. NCAA HAS TO FIX THIS ASAP!!!

25 years ago when I appeared on the grid iron. I missed the day they told everyone about how flexibility makes you faster and less injury prone. If I could go back and do it again..... I would be taking Yoga classes in my spare time. Yup... Yoga.. I said that out loud.

I know I just broke twitter calling out all the kids that think they run 4.4. Here are some stats to think about.

Bogus All Star games where kids are paying out the WAZOO to attend Bogus Guru's naming kids "All American" from 3rd grade on up. Bogus combines with no college coaches in attendance. Are 3 HUGE reasons parents and prospects are totally delusional about process.

Can't believe I am going to pass this tip along, but it's true. If you are a football prospect and get a friend request from a pretty girl you don't know. It could possibly be a football coach spying on you from a different angle. Resume your day.

Biggest mistake kids make in June is attending college camps where they have ZERO chance to play in college. Just because an SEC school invites you to camp does not mean they are recruiting you. If you do attend an SEC camp make sure you talk to the D2 and D3 colleges there.

If I had a nickle for every parent that told me their coach didn't help them, ran the wrong offense, favored the wrong kids, called bad plays, played kids in the wrong position, ect I would have many nickles. A discontent is never happy, no matter where they go!

Sorry I said that there are some kids that get D1 scholarships who won't make it. Didn't realize I was exposing a secret. Guess when talent goes bust, kids flunk out, get homesick & quit, transfer, get in trouble, are topics I need to stay away from. All D1 offers workout perfect

Why is it that the local guru always wants to work with the STUDS instead of the JV players that would die for some extra attention?

Paying to play in a Senior All Star game does not make you an All Star. It does not even mean you are good at football. It simply means you had $500 and must be desperate or delusional. You got scammed. No one is coming to see you play because the game is full of suckers.

Don't sit around on spring break, get out and visit college coaches and watch spring ball. Look at the guys playing your position and see if you fit in with them and could take the starting job from them. Need to be realistic. Need to build relationships with coaches.

The HS football recruiting process has become a total circus of lies, delusion, dreamers, scammers, big money, & the harshest reality. Parents & recruits are constantly lied to and taken advantage of & it's getting worse not better. Doing my best to keep it real, despite haters

If you have talent, you will be found. Just because you don't go to a power 5 school or FBS out of high school does not mean you won't be found. Might not be at 17 years old, might be at 22 years old when the NFL calls. But you will be found.

Parents don't give their High School coach a cent to help with recruiting. But they will give some MORON $2000 to help spam their kids video

It's fair to say college coaches are more focused on their current season and current players than recruiting. Just because your High School season is over does not mean recruiting has started for college programs. Be patient this time of year.

If you have legit D1 football talent you don't have to do much, the line will start forming around the corner for you. If you don't have legit D1 talent you will be paying bogus services for "exposure". You will call yourself under the radar. You will pay to attend bogus camps.

The hardest thing Football Recruits and Parents have to do is put ego aside and pick football camps that fit your ability and academic goals. If you don't have any D1 or D2 offers by now that is your 1st sign to slow your roll and find a camp where you have a legit chance at $$$

Recruiting a football prospect without talking to his head coach or assistant coach is like dating a girl and never meeting her family. It's just not the way the process is supposed to work. Make sure you keep your head coach in the loop, he is your best asset in this process.
