Yes I know it’s sickening but the truth is I met my lovely man in my 50s and if I’m with him until the end of my life it simply won’t be long enough and that’s my only regret. How he looks after me and even my dog is beyond belief. Thankyou all for putting up with me ❤️

My mum used to phone me, she’d say ‘it’s only me’ like she didn’t matter. 30 years after her dying I honestly can’t think of anything I’d rather hear than ‘it’s only me’. I dream of hearing her voice and humble words. ❤️

My lad visited the hospice to see his dad past 3 days, it’s a 3 hour round trip and he works full time. He’s knackered. His dad totally unconscious but son doesn’t want him to die alone. His dad disappeared for 20 years but my son isn’t abandoning him, huge respect ❤️

I've just had the best news from histology. Cancer not spread to margins and out of 15 lymph nodes analysed, none had cancer. Chemo not required. Thankyou for all your love and support ❤️

My son’s dad was meant to go on a night out with his old mates, a bunch of London geezers, aged 50+ revisiting their old haunts anyway, as many of you know he died recently , but the bunch of old reprobates have invited my son along haha. I find this funny and heartwarming.

Everything is awful. But in the New Year I’m going part time at work. I’ve done that partly to reduce the Covid risk. Trouble is I can’t really afford half pay so I applied for a p/t counselling role home based. I’ve only bloody well got it, they said they liked me very much. 👍

My employer letting me have 6 months off work on full pay whilst I get cancer treatment, someone will fill in for me on a temp contract. This is very good of them and a big relief. 🥰

I am so low but I want to tell you that suicidal ideation is very common, there is no way I would complete though not because I dont want to but simply because it would ruin my son's life and I just cant so that to him. Please dont give me advice, I work with suicidal teens xx

Thankyou for all your good wishes. I had the malignant tumour removed and the bowel resectioned. I didn't need the hysterectomy. I do have what I didn't want though ie a stoma. Surgeon tried her best. I'm just being honest about it with you. X

For those who are interested; after my meeting with consultant last week, she has arranged for my surgery to be with her and it's next week ! Not only that, but an absolute rock star of a consultant specialising in gynae and oncology will be present too. Both are brilliant!

Quick update. So had colonoscopy on Sat, colon cancer detected, referred for urgent CT scan which I’ve had today ! No messing. I’m still working and not in pain. Thankyou dear Twitter xXx

SB and me went our separate ways at end of January due to things he needed to sort out. Today we met up and spoke about how much we loved and missed eachother. I don’t think we are over. There’s just too much love there ❤️

I’ve been job sharing since January. I’ve really loved doing less hours at work, I feel more energy, interest, patience, less stressed. It was on a trial basis though. Today I’ve found out that this is going to be permanent 🎉

My boy text me in the night with symptoms, achey, light headed shivery, headache, tickly cough. He’s on his own in a flat in London. I’ve been a lone parent to this boy from the start. It’s so hard for me not to rush up there and look after him. ☹️

19 years ago today my fiancé handed me a letter, it explained how he couldn’t go through with our wedding 3 weeks later. Venue booked, dress bought, invites sent. It wasn’t the humiliation though but the heartbreak that the relationship was over. Today I’m so happy that happened.

Just got into a taxi and he’s locked the doors. Now I know this isn’t a big deal but women are a bit on edge at the moment and even this small thing triggers nervousness and acute awareness. We have to think in advance, play out scenarios, come up with exit strategies.

So today I met with my son and his dad (outside) you know I said he’s terminally ill. My son requested it. Oh God, he looks about 70, so thin with a distended stomach due to his liver cancer. I don’t think he’s got long at all, but we shared some memories 💔

Bowel cancer' I really felt for her as she is only in her 20s, but I was able to reassure her so much, having been through the same. We have the same consultant who is brilliant We spent ages talking and even caught the bus together. I felt our meeting was meant to be 🧡

My son just been told his dad is in a hospice, he’s not conscious. Son checked when he was last on WhatsApp and it was Tuesday am. He says he wants a hug from me as he’s really upset and I can’t even do that. These are truly awful times.
