Our founder, Molly’s, response to the draft guidance around sex education ‘bans’.
Personal words here.
Stop sexualising our bodies before we are old enough to understand why. This plan is set to increase sexualisation and stigmatisation.
Wow…what a 24 hours.
A huge congratulations to our founder, Molly, who won the Rising Star Award at

last night for her work at the LYP Campaign.
After an unimaginably difficult few years for the Fenton sisters, it was lovely to see them recognised.
Emotions running high with Molly making her official comeback as the Director of LYP after a gruelling 18 months for her.
Showing girls that anything is possible.
We know she’s still got a way to go but our girl is back.

Today we are celebrating
#nationalperiodday
in the UK because we are angry. This period poverty,stigma,plastic & tax is so infuriating, so we are spending our time as young women in society fighting for those menstruators around us who cannot afford these “luxury” items!❤️
Thrilled to announce
@UsforGirls1
and
@loveyourperiod
are partnering! Our first official international partnership!
Based in Uganda, Us For Girls provides mainly period poverty relief and general sexual and reproductive health.
We are so excited for what’s to come!❤️
England have trialled it.
Scotland have trialled it. And are implementing it.
Wales’ turn.
If we can get more people testing for HPV, then we can catch those strains that can cause cancer earlier, translating into prevention and ultimately saving lives.
Meet Molly (our founder), Jess and Becca (from our management team).

We are proud to be Wales’ big sisters❤️🏴

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Gaza appeal.
We've raised £3,500 that's been sent to Gazan Journalist Mustafa Musallam who will give period products directly to civilians.
They're now the equivalent of £10 for a pack of pads. 💔
Thanks
@beth_alaw
for sharing.
Our scientific anatomy is crucial to know and does not need to hidden from girls growing up. We were 15 & 20 when we started to understand this stuff and that’s way too late.
It’s not inappropriate- we must erase this complete sexual connotation.

LYP team members are at the
@daysforgirlsuk
annual conference to see the amazing work they do. Our founder Molly is the main speaker of the day, discussing the dangers of period stigma and its threat of the menstrual movement.
Why do we call ourselves the big sisters of Wales?
Meet Molly & Tilly Fenton.
With Molly receiving a devastating diagnosis they realised the danger of their bodies being stigmatised & sexualised. They want to make sure girls know about their bodies norms to stay safe & healthy.
‼️WELSH SCHOOL PUPILS‼️If you require period products, please contact your education establishment or myself to arrange to have these confidentially. You are entitled to free products even when schools are closed!
“I’m walking around with a wedge of toilet paper protecting me as I’ve unpredictably started. I can’t find products anywhere in public toilets. My local shop £3.50 for pads.”
Just received this.
This is what we mean when we say we have a lack of period dignity in the UK.
The team were reflecting about how we thought kids like us weren’t going to get far. We didn’t achieve high grades, missed education, suffered illness. The majority of us had period poverty.
It’s an honour to be able to show other young people that we did it, and so can they.

1️⃣We have very little education - many of us none at all - in school about menopause and what it actually consists of. So the very little information we all get has taught us girls it’s basically an “end” that we should dread. But we really shouldn’t be teaching young girls that!
Happy
