After 23 hrs. power restored at hog farm....Poor generators never got a break..Thinking life without elecricity today is about impossible along term...Cannot imagine what the Ukrainian people go through everyday. Hydro 1 said power by 4 pm. Friday, thankfully got it 7pm today

Couple days at Benmiller Inn, old,but nice,quiet. Would nominate Watford Tim Hortons as dirtiest coffee shop in Canda , Washrooms even worse than the order /dining floor. Richest looking farmers seem to be in Feather business, beautiful,well kept farms. Huron cty. great crops.

I do not think anyone can stop the shrinking of good Ontario farmland. Everybody says they want to keep good farmland until its wanted for another use,i.e. battery factory, subdivisions, hwy 413, urban sprawl,ect. Towns always built on best farmland in SW On.

My take lately on Ontario Health care. I know waits can be long for elective surgeries/tests but I have been visiting a patient at Windsor Regional in the Oncology ward and what I see is a dedicated staff of nurses and Drs. working hard.Thankful for local hospitals.

Speaking with a Manager at a major bank today and he said mortgage requests have dryed up. And mortgage brokers work on commission so they are cutting out BS and going straight to best rate. Today he expected a 1 yr. fixed to be 5.1% and expects B of C to raise rates again on J25

2/2 Cheap interest has put us in the mess many are in now. And 5% or even 7% is still cheap interest/mortgages

@Campbellgrain @levijwood @gmjochum If its CFIA they can pretty much do as they wish , we run into them checking pigs as we unload and have had them show up at farm to check feed mill/medications/clean out procedures. Can't think of American lady cfiawho used to work for OMAF and husband is beef farmer in lambton

More important than combining corn today . Wife & I had lunch with the Ure's and Shepley's and spent the afternoon at there home on Detroit River before they leave for the South this winter. Great Pork producer friends for 45+ yrs. Missed them since Covid
