FDU's win over Purdue is the BIGGEST UPSET in the history of the NCAA Tournament. Why? Unlike UMBC in 2018 or St. Peter's in 2022, FDU did not earn an AQ --- Merrimack did, but was ineligible for the postseason And unlike UMBC or St. Peter's, FDU came from the First Four.

Five years ago, Vanderbilt fired Bryce Drew after he lost Darius Garland for the season due to a knee injury. Tonight, Drew led Grand Canyon to an NCAA Tournament win over Saint Mary's. Vanderbilt is again looking for a coach. It's funny how things work out.
