"No one would pay $1,000 for pressure washing"
"No one would pay $2,000 to get Christmas lights put up"
"No one would pay $500 to get their gutters cleaned"
Lol
This is what a $5,000 gutter cleaning job looks like
13 buildings total
$397/building
6 buildings completed so far by myself (employee had an emergency)
Let me tell you something about the Christmas lighting business
It sure it lucrative & you can pull in $50-$100k in 3-4 months
But there are some complexities to it that most wont be ready for
Lets begin with the service itself.
Unlike house washing/roof washing where you
This is a random 2500sqft house I found on Zillow.
This is how we'd quote it for a house wash:
Typical standard vinyl/painted siding house will be anywhere from $0.18-$0.22/sqft
depending on your market/your business.
Lets try $0.18/sqft for this
$0.18 x 2500sqft = $450
I have an overseas employee running the backend of my pressure washing business
Here’s what she does:
Takes calls/inbound leads
Handles all customer communications
Sets up estimates
Schedules jobs
Posts on socials
& scrapes leads.
Game changing
You can buy a pressure washer for $500 and do a $500 house wash in 3 hours.
Or you can buy a $1000 pressure washer and do the same job in 1 hour.
Now you can do 2 more in the same amount of time & make triple the money.
When it comes to spending,
think value, not price.
These are professional grade holiday lights
It cost us $1.42/ft (including bulbs, wire, & clips)
We installed them on peoples houses for $10-12/ft
We did $40,000 in revenue in about 3 months
We'll more than double that this year
Unpopular opinion:
I hate doing work for people I know
They expect the most for the "friend" discount
& pressure is also higher to do a perfect job.
Thoughts?
We do pressure washing from April - October
We hang Xmas lights from Nov - Dec
We were just short of $290k this yr
Next year we'll do over $400k
Our first job ever was for $70.
We knew nothing.
There's companies that wash trash cans
$25/can
Recurring revenue
Takes a few minutes per few cans
Easily do couple hundred $$ + per day
Could start with just a small pressure washer
Seems like a low cost way to get into the industry
Any thoughts??
**I show up 10min late to an estimate**
Me:
"Sorry Mr. Smith our last job ran a little late"
Mr. Smith:
"WTF do you mean sorry!? What happened to using your phone... you couldn't call to tell me!? All you kids are the same!"
Me:
"Find another company"
Thinking of making a free PDF on exactly what you need /how to soft wash roofs?
Adding roof washing to our business is how we went from $10k/months to $30k+/months

College is straight up a scam.
The amount of money I spent on
- Bullsh** textbooks
- Homework softwares
- Classes that taught me nothing useful
Is absolutely outrageous.

But some ppl are 6 figs in debt w/ $60k jobs... doesn't make sense
Im thinking of releasing a series of threads next week for a full breakdown of how you can make $40k+ hanging Christmas lights this fall

What do you think?
We did a $17,000 job with
2 $900 pressure washers.
& then another $13,000 job
& then another $9,000 job
& then all of the other residential jobs we’ve done.
It’s cool how you can take a small asset + some hustle
& turn it into a cash 🐄
Officially passed the $40k mark yesterday for May in our pressure washing business
W/ still a few days left.
There’s money in simple services.
I don’t care about showing numbers,
I just want to motivate people
I had no idea what was possible when we started 🙌
I don’t answer our phones anymore.
I outsourced our backend with an international employee who’s my full time office manager now.
She’s based in the Philippines
Speaks perfect English with no accent
& handles pretty much the entire backend of my business.
This is how it
You can make $1,000+ in half a day washing roofs
Its a service that makes roofs look better while killing fungal growths that are eating away at the shingles
THUS helping homeowners prevent deterioration to their roofs.
We do a lot of this.
**Customer that’s a school teacher
“You can’t make a living doing this”
(Referring to power washing)
**Customer that’s an entrepreneur
“Your 19?? Your way ahead of the game, keep it up”
Both real customers we had…
It’s sad the type of people we have schooling us.
My brother and I started this pressure washing business 4 years ago during the pandemic lockdown.
My dad had us doing a bunch of maintenance tasks around the house b/c what better time.
The first big task was to paint the basement
So we did that in a few days.
Afterwards my
Imagine you start a side hustle for let’s say pressure washing
so you do about 4 jobs a week
avg job ticket $300 (which is very conservative)
4 jobs a week at ~$300 each
That’s $4800 a month
You can easily do this after work and or during the weekend
Get out there!!
I dont talk enough about how fun it can be to run a home service business...
Driving around, bumping music
Banging out jobs making houses look good
Providing real value to people who want to pay you
Meeting new people everyday whether business owners, customers or both
Clean out some gutters
Charge $200-$300 for avg size homes
Get the jobs done in 30min to an hour
Put out a sign
Throw up some door hangers
Knock some doors
& crank volume.
It's a great way to start from nothing.
The photo on the left is from April 2020 when we started this business out of my brothers car
The photo on the right is what our truck looks like now
Plus our new trailer and whole new soft washing rig that are on the way
My dads basement is currently my Christmas lighting storage
Those tubs are filled with about $30k worth of revenue (best part is the lights were paid for last year)
& all the card board boxes hold new inventory for new customers this season.
We just finished our first week
Tomorrow Im releasing a free PDF on how to wash roofs
so you can make an extra $10k-$20k+ /month in your business
I wanna see people win.
Keep ya eyes peeled.
We did about $40k revenue out of my brothers all scratched up 2007 Honda CRV.
Did some customers probably think we were a joke at first?
Probably
But did that stop us from selling our service?
No.
I hope motivates someone to start immediately.
Its realistic to make $500+/hour washing roofs,
but not many people know how to properly sell the service...
I taught a team of sales reps how to sell it for us
❤️ this if you want the full breakdown.
We bought & returned 3 pressure washers within the span of 2 months bc we didnt know that you had to turn the water on before starting it...
That's how "qualified" we were
Yet we still made money 😂
In the past 2 weeks
We’ve made about $28,000
Pressure washing.
We have another $9,000 job coming up this week.
This is the power of commercial jobs.
Our monthly goals were $12,000 before this.

This is the first house wash we ever did.
Doing everything wrong using a ladder, not using proper chemicals, and applying too much pressure.
This one side took us an hour.
We made $100…
We went on to do $40k that summer.
Stop waiting. Start now. Learn as you go.
Just listen to me for a sec…
We started with:
a crappy pressure washer
barely any knowledge of what we were doing
no legit business or insurance at first
and about $1k.
👇
A year later we’re washing college campuses and entire condo complexes.
JUST. START.

I have a VA in the Philippines working full time for my pressure washing business
She's taking calls
Scheduling jobs & estimates
Doing cold outreach
& scheduling social media posts
It feels amazing to have these things offloaded from my plate
Did some work for another business owner
Sent him the invoice
**No response for weeks**
Followed up a few times offering to come back & touch up anything if he was unhappy
Responds almost over a month later refusing to pay for the work
He was never planning on paying.
