This Su-34, serial #24 , bombed Syrian cities extensively. It was piloted by Major Krasnoyartsev, who earlier posed for photos with Putin & Assad. Today, while bombing Chernihiv, its flying days ended. The plane is now scrap, its co-pilot dead, & Krasnoyartsev is in custody.

According to the FBI’s analysis of 63 mass shootings, only a quarter of the shooters were diagnosed with mental illness, and in only three cases was mental illness the probable cause for the shooting. Mass shooting is NOT a mental health issue.

Secondly, the manufacturing of doubt around major atrocities is not just an epistemic issue. It has real consequences in the conduct of war. When responsibility for one atrocity remains unresolved, it gives the perpetrator room to commit more. And so it happened in Syria.

These are Palestinians of the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria. They were subjected to 5 years of siege, starvation and slaughter by the Assad regime. Many of the people who supported this are suddenly concerned about Palestinians being subjected to siege, starvation and slaughter.
