Lytton's official high temperature today June 27, 2021 is 46.6 C. Lytton BC now holds the record for Canada's all time maximum high. The previous record was 45.0 C set on July 5, 1937 at Yellow Grass, and Midale, SK.
At 4:20pm, Lytton Climate Station reported 49.5°C, once again, breaking the daily and all-time temperature records for the 3rd straight day. Final numbers and all other temperature records will be posted later this afternoon.

Trivia: Lytton's all-time Canadian record maximum temperature of 47.9°C set on the 28th June 2021 surpasses Las Vegas' all-time record high of 117°F/47.2°C.
The official observing site at McCarran reached 116F at 4:23 PM. This breaks the old record of 114F for the date, and is only one degree below the all time record high of 117F, which has occurred four times since records began in 1937. 116F has occurred 17 other times.
Daytime highs are forecast to hit 47C in the Fraser Canyon today & tomorrow. The all-time Canadian temperature record which was set just yesterday (Lytton, 46.6C) may be broken again today!
