Unfortunately Coco Gauff was wrong and the Umpire was right. Unlike her accusation, she was clearly not cheated, and in fact, had they replayed the point then she might have actually cheated her opponent out of an important point. Here is 100% indisputable evidence.

@AllisonPearson Sure, just don’t release a faked photo and lie about it to the people whose tax money is paying their ridiculous life on benefits. It’s deeply disgraceful to the UK and not worthy of a Royal. Maybe we should defund them, make them ordinary people and then nobody will care.

@SaskSoothsayer Except there is not sync issue between the ball bounce and the sound of the bounce and when the strings hit the ball and the sound of it. Therefore, although I take your point, it is not valid in this case and it is very clear. Objectively speaking, no matter how much we want

@SonicTheHaggis > She said the umpires call put her off Exactly, that's the point, because the video evidence shows that the ball has already left her strings before the call was made, so it's physically impossible that the balls trajectory was affected by the call.

@alltheopinions3 No, she pulls up because she is on her back foot unbalanced leaning backwards. After the ball has left her strings the out call is made as shown in the video. Even if she then decided to exaggerate her up movement, at that point the ball has already long left her strings and the

@paulg In Scotland it's uniquely driven by the SNP, but in general I think the political Left of the 2010s and 2020s has become the totalitarian, authoritarian, Orwellian villain which the political Left from the 1980s and 1990s was afraid of. These two groups are not the same people.

The very short support cycles of .NET makes using .NET outside of monoliths really hard from an operational overhead point of view. Imagine a large company (Siemens, Fujitsu, etc.) having hundreds of dev teams with many dozens of applications and services to maintain. The

Unpopular opinion: If you are working at Microsoft on .NET, and you are building platforms/tools/frameworks for all of .NET and you are climbing the ranks at Microsoft, then you should stop at mid-level until you have mastered C#, and F# before

Don’t worry, C# will eventually have union types and every single feature that any other programming language ever had. Microsoft has a whole team dedicated to work on C#. Every year they must come up with new things to work on, set goals and justify their existence. They will

I don't think most .NET devs realise this, but there is no free cross platform IDE for .NET if you are a professional developer like there is one for Go, Java, Rust, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C, C++, etc. 1. Visual Studio is Windows only. 2. JetBrains Rider is a paid

My 🌶️ .NET take: Aspire would have so much more potential if it was a JavaScript API and not C#. If it was JS, then devs from other platforms would give it a chance as well, but because it is C# it will truthfully only be used by a subset of .NET users. C# brings no benefit for

Something I didn’t realise but a lot of new software developers can’t touch type 😮. This is not gate keeping, just friendly advice, if you’re working 8 hours/day writing code, do yourself a favour and learn how to type.

I once enjoyed open source a lot, but it is a lot of work and no financial reward. This is the reason why I'm not really interested in maintaining any open source projects anymore. I love working on side projects, but ones which don't create issues on GitHub. More stuff like .NET

One thing I notice by browsing C# projects on GitHub is that there’s a lot of very clever C# code out there, the type of crafty code where you know an extremely experienced .NET dev must’ve written it. It’s very hard to find such clever code in Go and I very much like that.
