Since people seem to be fascinated by french protest lore. The cops vs firefighter fight is only beaten by that one time a retired national boxing champion decided to enter the ring one last time.
Hideki Kamiya is now blocking people that are questioning why PlatinumGames decided to disrespect the value and of Hellena Taylor's voice actor work as Bayonetta.
His "funny antics" is now turning into pure deflection and cowardice from him.
PS2 Teen Titans has a story where they're stuck in a video game and they seek the culprit, only to find everything is fictional.
In the ending, they turn to the camera and look at you. You were the culprit all along.
They ask you one last question: "are we free?". No answer.
I watched that video. It's a Nintendo kid who never had a PS2 praising Persona/SMT games and Devil May Cry. You know, the popular games.
But this is not the PS2 experience lol. You weren't buying the 10/10 games at launch as a kid. You were playing Catwoman in 2004.
2009: Dead Rising was remade for the Wii version by using Resident Evil 4's Engine
2024: Dead Rising was remade for modern platforms using Resident Evil 4 Remake's engine
Welcome back, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
Capcom USA is having a livestream where the chat can type commands to control the game, but they've been unable to progress because all they do is have Edgeworth present the badge to Gumshoe.
They presented the badge 20 times in less than an hour
The fact Sarah Bond congratulated Tango Gameworks' 14th anniversary and said "Here's to many more" means one thing ➡️ The decision to close Tango was made in less than two months
Xbox made a shortsightedly rushed decision to destroy a successful studio, and are now in a PR mess.
Re-mentioning the giant that soars through the air like a missile and lands head first in the ground seems appropriate. It can land on you and hurt you, but the giant is unharmed.
People getting mad at Travis Touchdown wearing this hoodie claiming it's out of character still remains the biggest self-report I've seen in recent years.
It's official. Hi-Fi RUSH, a single-player game, has more people playing the game on Steam than Forza Motorsport 2023, Xbox's latest AAA live service.
It has one-upped Forza in every single metric.
AC is animal crossing but AC2 is assassin's creed 2, AC3 is armored core 3, AC4 is assassin's creed 4 black flag, AC5 is ace combat 5 and AC6 is armored core 6
The story goes that he was with his wife but was so pissed off at the cops beating down a woman that he cleared the way of cops to protect her. The woman later defended him in court by saying she had lung disease and that what he did saved her life
Dude saved lives punching cops
Ironically, the RPG-ification of action games means genre staples like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima offer more opportunities for tailoring the combat to a specific playstyle than Final Fantasy 16.
Lollipop Chainsaw was a game that was heavily criticized for being puerile, sexist and objectifying, but also it's a game with a large female fanbase in ways I simply don't see for other games.
A lot of its lasting power is carried on the back of its female audience today imo
Hi-Fi Rush was in development in 2017 before the Xbox acquisition. So Xbox can't even claim it as part of their strategy, and it ended up being their most critically well-received games in years.
Tango did them a mercy and this is how they repay them.
FF16 has more abilities available than Diablo 4's skill tree. The Witcher 3's RPG elements and combat are barely a thing in the game.
It's only bad when Final Fantasy is doing it to offer something that is actually fun.
Vampire Hunter D was made with the intent of being released in the west and especially in America.
The result is cool motorcycles, rocket launchers, cyber horses and vampires with beautiful flowing locks fighting. They understood us so well it's crazy. That's what we're here for
Capcom killing the use of mods shows how the naked Chun-li mod tournament guy really did an incalculable amount of damage. He gooned so hard it sent a shockwave that still reverberates to this day.
Does Xbox even remember how the PS3 managed to pull ahead? Remember when Uncharted 2 was such a sensation that gave back the prestige Sony needed to make their console a necessity?
Notice how there's a 2? Because Naughty Dog was allowed to make a sequel that was a bigger hit?
Vagrant Story for the PS1 pulled off things with its cutscene direction that are SO bold, it still leaves me wanting to see something similar 22 years later.
Final Fantasy XII had to work with less polygons than FF10 to render its characters, but since the artists involved were the same behind the legendary Vagrant Story, they felt far more detailed and still hold up to this day.
Mexican-American character called Hermes Costello named after a French fashion brand and English singer Elvis Costello.
Araki saw the name of one of his favorite musicians ending with an O and was like this
I just learned there is a lalafell music group in FFXIV who does 5-hour concert in different Japanese data centers & hundreds of people come to spectate together

Requests for FFXVI DLC are mounting in Japan because of good reviews, two of the popular requests is to have a DLC related to Leviathan, and also have a DLC where you can go on dates with Jill all across Valisthea
Final Fantasy XVI is evidence that putting MMO designers to design boss fights is the most 200 IQ idea that has come out of an action game.
You can't compete with devs who have to design 10 bosses a year on the regular.
Reminder Suda51 was so heartbroken at how he was treated when this CEO was at EA that he made him the villain of his games and you end up killing him in No More Heroes 3

Vagrant Story is 20 years old! It is not only in the conversation as the best game Square has ever made, it is a towering achievement of the genre both at an artistic and technical level. Here I will share some details about the game that even Hideo Kojima was jealous of ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Devil May Cry 3 is legendary for its gameplay, level design, and music, but it's not talked enough how much of an incredibly well-told story it is.
Yuji Shimomura's ability to blend action, drama and pristine choreography all at once on the PS2 remains jaw-dropping today.
The cat is out of the bag – get the scoop on Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden from the Phantom Thieves' super sleuth, Morgana 🕵️💎
P3P and P4G come to modern platforms on January 19, 2023!
I'll always remember this interview where Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii created the slime as a pile of goo, and then Toriyama turned it into an icon.
"That's part of Toriyama's power to take something like a pool of slime and use his imagination to make it a great character."
23 years ago, Square made a dark fantasy RPG called Vagrant Story. They said part of the commercial failure was the negative reception of the MC Ashley Riot's design, because he was a well-built adult in his prime.
They finally broke their own curse with Clive Rosfield in FF16.
Kiryu Kazuma having a special mode where he can break out of the turn-based system and just pummel enemies in real time like the old games is the coolest shit I have ever heard in my life.
Yakuza 8 is game of the life confirmed
Remember that Hideki Kamiya is the Senior Vice President of PlatinumGames, he's not just a funky game designer, he's literally the second-in-command at the company in terms of position now.
This is such a childish behavior about a real issue.
The ending of Teen Titans PS2 posits that the player mind controlled them through the whole game, unable to act on free will.
Then the final line of the game has Beast Boy say they are free because "the game is over", which is the most ominous thing I've heard.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust has one of the most striking wide camera shot I've seen in my life. Using D's cape to represent his vampire lineage under the gaze of the moon is real cinema.
What a cool movie, man. If I had seen this as a kid it would have been my entire personality
Kiryu Kazuma having a special mode where he can break out of the turn-based system and just pummel enemies in real time like the old games is the coolest shit I have ever heard in my life.

In FF14 1.0, you had a path companion. It was basically just a NPC that is doing the speaking for you in the story.
You could pick the race you want, but if you picked a female Miqo'te, she would constantly tease you with sexual innuendos.
The Japanese Armored Core community are the coolest dudes on earth, if you do something remotely cool, they give you the sickest nicknames known to man.
"The Hounds of Nagoya"
"The Quad-Legs of Akiba"
"The Fireworks of Shibuya"
"The Sekiro of Hiroshima"
Ghost in the Shell 2's basset hound scene is Oshii's best scene ever for me. I didn't get the movie the first time, but I feel I was too young to get it. It's a love story. Batou is simply a man with too much love to give, and too much loneliness to bear. He just misses her a lot
I urge you to check out Magic Castle, a PS1 game that just got finished & released 23 years later!
It's a super fun roguelite made on the Net Yaroze by Japanese devs who put all their hopes and dreams into this game that never came to be. Until today.
Remember all the mouthbreathers seething about this graffiti from Dead Space Remake calling the game woke, lip-servicey and a betrayal of the original's lore?
Turns out it was also in the original 2008 game.
I'm only at the first 10 minutes of Redline and I'm ready to call it the coolest movie I've seen in my entire miserable life.
How is this movie even real? How is this Takeshi Koike FIRST MOVIE????
Final Fantasy XVI is going to be the biggest generational clash in the history of the series because this serious medieval-ass style has been laying dormant for so long we already have people claiming this is not what the series is about.
I heavily respect Tekken for making characters talk in their native language and having everyone understand each other.
To have a game be confident that its audience can read subtitles & trust their suspension of disbelief is hugely risky. Yet T8 triumphed with a great story.
Hi-Fi Rush was prototyped with only Johanas and a single programmer for a year out of these four.
It's in the Xbox website. It was made by a smaller scale team for a long time until the final sprint while the staff were wrapping up Ghostwire Tokyo. STOP
I do want to point out that Hi-Fi Rush isn't a 'small game'. It took over 4 years to develop. No defense of how Xbox leadership has been running the show, but Matt Booty isn't wrong. He's referring to smaller games that don't take an entire generation to build.
It hits different that Clive and Jill FF16 are a couple in their thirties allowing each other the love they were denied for so many years to blossom as adults, as if time stopped ever since they were separated.. 13 years of suffering, but a lifetime of love to share.
This is apparently a picture that shows the evolution of the art in Granblue Fantasy.
You can see how similar it used to be to Ivalice aesthetics, as Hideo Minaba is the art director of Final Fantasy Tactics and XII.
I've been reading a lengthy essay on FF16 written in Japanese by a Japanese critic and I'm floored at their ability to display how FF16 adapts JRPG staples to the modern age.
It is exhilarating to read considering the utter failure of western critics to even approach this topic.
The pipeline of Lollipop Chainsaw being blasted as a sexist game that shouldn't have been made on release to now becoming part of a culture war where it is considered woke and feminist is about to send me to a mental health clinic
I had some frustration with Lost Planet 2 and then it throws you a speech about mankind needing to come together to save the planet they live in while you brace for re-entry into the atmosphere with rousing orchestral music playing and I simply have to lock in and give it a 10/10
I'm not surprised Hyung-Tae Kim is inspired by Masamune Shirow, who has the hilarious trajectory to have made a cultural-shattering work with Ghost in the Shell w/ intricate knowledge of technological concepts, and then spent the rest of his life drawing tanned women hentai
I'm quickly checking out the MagnaCarta game on the PS2 since the character design was done by Hyung-tae Kim now that he's known as the director of Stellar Blade and damn, this is a crazy design for the male protagonist
Few people know this but to this day Tekken 6 PSP is still being modded!
Now modders are working to put Tekken 8 in T6 so you can play it anywhere. They're the coolest and allow countries who can't afford T8 yet to just have a taste on PSP.

Suda51 confirmed this is going to be a boss theme for No More Heroes 3. It is called "DEAD ORCA FORCE" composed by Nobuaki Kaneko and it is 🔥🔥🔥
There will be a game version of this track in NMH3.
FF16 is truly one of the most insane AAA games ever: a dark fantasy that turns into real shonen with the highest budget boss fights you've ever seen in your life. Also your dog can juggle enemies for you. Also Bahamut is gay and everyone agrees he's the coolest dude.
The Vagrant Story devs having full control of the lighting system they had crafted for this PS1 game meant that they were able to just flex at any given moment during cutscenes.
Ping Pong the Animation still is a thing of beauty. The way this scene is tightly put together with the music and the use of sound effects of matches being played as rhythm is beautiful
Rewatching this scene again remains chilling even decades later. The dread of seeing Fuse become a faceless monster made of steel after all we went through in his journey of intimacy & seeing him disappear in the darkness right after... It's terrifying. It's pure horror.
Been wondering what is my favorite scene in all JP animated movies. I think it would be Fuse donning the Kerberos armor in Jin-Roh. It's terrifying to see him going through a journey of love just get dehumanized to the point of severing the connection with the viewer. Brilliant
I was checking the studio behind the Ghost in the Shell PS2 game, and "Epics" is known for the PoPoLoCrois series, but also horror games on the Nintendo DS called "Nanashi no Game". They also have Masayoshi Soken on the soundtrack.
Super fascinating stuff, I might check it out
Firefighters are not perfect but cops should not even have the right to look at them, much less beat them. The service they give in a single day has more value to society than anything police has done *ever*.
State violence happens to everything good that society has produced.
Someone found that Van Zieks in The Great Ace Attorney has a scrapped pose where he just..chills on the prosecutor's desk with a wine glass in his hand.

Atlus has this problem where the gameplay team are flawless veterans, music team are just gods at the height of their craft, art design team are pure legends, and then the writing team are two monkeys having a fistfight and the resulting fallout is an unfinished script
There was a period of time in the 2010s where games would get re-releases and they would make "new" character portraits that looked like exactly this and it was driving me crazy
The Bahamut theme of FF16 has got to be one of the most phenomenal tracks I've heard in FF history.
The level of craft in painting tragedy, sadness and wrath all together in musical form is nothing short of masterful. This is an ode to classical music.
