School can support and provide help but what I can’t do as a teacher is make up for a parent who fails to parent their child

Sat in bed, contemplating the fact that my eldest is 18 today. I can remember sitting cuddling her in hospital 18 years ago. Time really does fly. Lunch and cocktails on the menu today. Every 18 year old deserves cocktails on their birthday

Don't drink much these days but definitely earnt this. Cheers to Storm Babet which made me close school just before midday - 2 hours to get buses away, waiting for last pick ups an hour later and then an hour's stressful drive home and it's still raining!
