Wrote a bit about Pass Rate Over Expected over at
@MBFantasyLife
. Dug into how it’s calculated, open resources to track it, and what we can do with it as fantasy managers.
Personal news!
I've been blessed to contribute to a number of sites in my time
#onhere
and now you'll find me rambling at one spot from here on out.
I'm incredibly excited to work with such a talented team. Let's get it, y'all. ✊🏾
We are excited to announce that
@ChrisAllenFFWX
has been promoted to Fantasy Analyst and Content Coordinator!
You can now read all of his content exclusively at AND catch Chris and Ian Hartitz together every Thursday on the Fantasy Life Podcast 🎉
Yeah I already looked into this.
- Snow at 0.1 inches per hour at game time (flurries).
- Wind at 13 mph N (no crosswind).
Most of the snow comes prior to kickoff and the field has heating coils underneath. Not overly concerned with this game.
I've been out most of the day, so wasn't able to catch it but...yeah. Excited to join such a talented squad and work with some of the best in the industry. Much more on the way! ✊🏾
We are beyond excited to welcome
@ChrisAllenFFWX
to the Fantasy Life team!
Chris will be a weekly contributor and editor to the newsletter. Look out for his first piece next week 🎉
I really appreciate Mike and Drew bringing me on to talk about my general thoughts on weather and some takes on tomorrow's games. I'll have some more thoughts as we get closer to lock, but we hit the highlights here.
My teenage daughter is out with friends. The boys are in bed. Wife and I are just getting into watching The Good Place (we’re hooked). We old.
Happy New Years, everyone. It’s been a great year writing and getting to meet/talk to all of you. More to come in ‘20.

Analytics Staff: "So if we pass in this situation, we'll likely score more points."
Freddie: "Can y'all show me how to install Windows on my laptop?"
My notes on:
NO/CHI - 23 mph winds
TEN/CIN - 19 mph winds
LV/CLE - 27 mph winds
MIN/GB - 24 mph winds
NE/BUF - 21 mph winds
I get the concern, but I'm not in full-panic mode (yet).
We produce content to learn and share our thoughts. It should also be fun and, let me tell you, I had fun writing this.
Kyler's talent along with the Kingsbury connection makes the situation unique and full of potential. I tried to capture it all:
It feels like we're back in Week 8 weather-wise. Games I'll be tracking ahead of Sunday with my notes on each:
HOU
@CLE
- ~28 mph winds
JAC
@GB
- ~24 mph winds
BAL
@NE
- ~0.1" per hour of rain
@cooterdoodle
Interviewer: "Can you describe a time when your leadership benefited your team?"
"So Dalvin wasn't expected to play, but my team needed a win. I trusted my process, trusted my gut, and Dalvin scored two touchdowns."
Excited for this project. I’ll be working with
@MarcasG
and
@MichaelFFlorio
and a few other excellent content creators to build something new. Let’s get it.
“Let me tell you why you’re here.
@ChrisAllenFFWX
You are here because you know something! What you know, you can’t explain. But you feel it.”

I think it was my first or second year of undergrad at UC and my roommates saw him at La Rosa's. He had put on a shirt and a nametag and was out handing out pizza.
Merry Christmas, everyone! I was up late smoking the ham/ribeye and fell asleep shortly after lunch. Kids loved their presents, I’m sipping egg nog and whiskey, and watching movies. It’s been a good day y’all. Hope you enjoyed it, too.
It's been a couple days, but I'm still flipping through

Over the two games without Jefferson, Cousins ranks:
- 4th in adj. completion %
- 10th in EPA per dropback
- 16th in passing success rate
I broke down fantasy expectations for the Vikings' offense and what fixes GB can make to get back on track
We went off the rails and could've gone another hour, but I enjoy every chance I get to talk with Sig. We touched on:
- General weather narratives
- The Carolina Offense
- Vets vs Rookies
- Life in 2020
Appreciate his time and hope y'all enjoy!
Justin and I spent 10-15 minutes talking and catching up before recording and another 10 afterward. Had a blast looking back on the season while talking through some plays for Week 11 and potential trade targets.

Felt like
@MattHarmon_BYB
and I could've chopped it up for at least another hour. We hit up all latest coming out camps, geeked out on some receivers, plus dove into some of my weather research.

nF graciously decided to take me on as a freelance writer this season. No time to celebrate and it's time to get to work.
Not much on the radar this week. A few hot games with some rain elsewhere. Otherwise, proceed as normal and look forward to covering this all season!
1. Insanely stoked that
@ChrisAllenFFWX
is writing a weekly weather piece for
@numberFire
this year.
2. His Week 1 piece talks about the effects of heat in a couple games, and the data here is super interesting. Highly recommended reading.
Teams to target were easy to spot using data from
@dwainmcfarland
's Strength of Schedule piece.
But there was one QB that stuck out when overlaying ADP with weekly implied totals
I did a sweep of the forecast data and have updated notes on a few games.
Plus, I did a deeper dive into how the Packers' offense did in cold weather looking at passing rates instead of using boxscore stats and charted who earned targets.
Cold weather, windy conditions, rain, and snow. Week 17 has it all.

shares his weather thoughts and which games to monitor in his

Weather Report:
It was my sons 5th birthday yesterday. My parents got him these.
Currently, my wife and 14 year old daughter are running around screaming and playing with them.
Jayden Reed easily stands out here and I've been targeting him most of the offseason.
It's been nothing but a steady drumbeat of positive reports since May about his starting slot role so I'm all in.
Plus, I'll take any confirmation bias I can from

I'll be out of pocket today frying a turkey and enjoying the day, but here are my notes for the slate. Appreciate you all and hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.✊🏿
