Exactly, Megan. The other side cannot stop lying. From Day One I announced that Karen was innocent. She remains innocent today. The truth never changes.

I am disappointed in you as a former colleague. We have not paid anyone a dime. Nor did we tip off Turtleboy to report on this case. He found this story completely on his own reading our public filings. Also, your “theory” of the case is nonsense. It is clear you have done
Karen Read has been fighting for her innocence for 15 months. After these false allegations led to the loss of her employment and health insurance, she has had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to do the investigation that the police chose to ignore.

People have asked how they can help. A legal defense fund has finally been established for those so inclined.
Karen and her family are so appreciative of the help.

Another case of overreach by a district attorney's office. This case is a horrible tragedy, but it is not a crime. And it is certainly not a manslaughter case. I will defend my client vigorously to achieve justice in this case.

I have been appearing at clerk magistrate hearings for almost 20 years. The overwhelming majority of magistrates I have encountered are conscientious and try to do the right thing.

I have been a huge baseball fan since I was 6 years old, when I went to games with my grandfather in 1969. The slow pace of games had made the sport unwatchable. The pitch clock has now brought back the crisp pace of games from my youth. I believe it will save the game.
Oftentimes, false and/or frivolous claims are brought by a civilian. To subject someone to an arraignment — and permanent public shame — as a result of that would be unjust.

This is so incredibly unAmerican. John Adams, who defended the British after the Boston Massacre, went to Harvard. He wouldn’t go today. Really, for shame.

I’ve had many clerk’s hearings for felony charges over the years, representing people who are neither rich nor powerful. Nothing untoward happened here. The complaint in this case ISSUED after the hearing. The current hysteria over “secret courts” is unjustified.
