Suffolk County placed a 5 cent fee on plastic bags. In the year since, 1.1 billion fewer bags have been given out. That's fewer bags clogging sewers, getting stuck in trees, harming wildlife, or filling landfills. Long past time for NYC to do the same.

They wanted to close the door and I would not move myself. After much back and forth and finding the coordinator (who seemed like she needed back up to convince this officer), they are all able to vote. There are so many ways we try to disenfranchise voters. 2/2 #ElectionDay

Second dose down at Yankee Stadium! I’m well on my way to being vaccinated against #COVID & protecting everyone around me. Feeling really overwhelmed rn. Campaigning, doing mutual aid, etc in the pandemic has been scary as an asthmatic, but this gives me confidence.

Just drove passed a poll site w/ doors closed at 9:11pm & about 60 ppl outside demanding to vote. Officer inside was so rude saying her supervisor said doors close at 9pm & they are waiting for him to advise I told her - he’s not an election lawyer & these people can vote 1/2
