Blackflies are important connections in our food webs here in the park.
To ensure their populations increase, we've established Blackfly Protection Zones throughout Algonquin!
An American Marten made an appearance at the
@Algonquin_PP
Visitor Centre this morning. We were lucky enough to see it climb out of the tree, pounce into the snow to catch a shrew that was tunneling under the snow!
130 years ago today, the Ontario Legislature established Algonquin Park!
