Residential property sales @RegistersOfScot in Scottish Island regions. Interesting to note in 2023 the high percentage of cash sales (no mortgage) in the islands 57%, compared to the mainland 37%. Difficult for island youngsters to compete in this market.

During the election campaign, the SNP consistently warned about £18bn of Labour’s austerity plans which Starmer and Reeves denied. Now it turns out it is even worse, at £22bn. More cuts, more austerity, more broken promises while ordinary people are hurting.
