Working on unsolicited improvements for
@tryamie
.
The first improvement is adding to-dos. The current design (2nd screenshot) felt a little too lifeless, so I repurposed the event detail screen for to-dos.
@flornkm
I really like the first one, though I can see how this might lead to confusion when the icon is displayed without a text indicator (50%, X km remaining) next to it. The second one is probably the most expected icon. The last one reminds me too much of a regular car battery tbh.
I refreshed the
@tryamie
event screen.

The map with the indicators which public transport station is the closest to the destination plus if contactless payment is possible is solely a personal preference and might not be as helpful to others.
Fourth: I replaced the floating element for accessing settings, viewing other calendars and changing layout, with a top navigation. The search function has been moved here too, to accommodate the new 'add' button.
Also bigger handles to manipulate start and end time of an event
Simplify adding events and to-dos.
Currently, one must long-press the timeline for events and swipe up for to-dos. The plus sign on the to-do screen confusingly adds a new list rather than a new to-do, which is used more often.
A new add button, could streamline this process.
Finally: Amie is a delightfully crafted product that brings joy in its use.
@dennismuellr
and the Amie team are truly building something great! My intention was merely to engage creatively and address minor elements that caught my attention.
K bye! 👋🏻
@NefTob
Just using figma and its prototyping capabilities. Designed the two states (collapsed and expanded), linked them together and animated with smart animate and a spring curve.
Thirdly, the Date/Time Picker UI needs clarity. Though the input field is unified, tapping the date or time opens different modals, causing confusion. Currently, switching between date and time within the modal isn’t possible. Combining these two modals can resolve this issue.
It’s Luke Beard, by the way, as I’m sure some of you will be wondering.
I’d recommend not working with him at Any Distance, or talking to him or even looking his way tbh.
@RalphTheodori
For temperature they even show different icons depending on the input temperature and if thats considered cold/medium/warm in Fahrenheit/Celsius
@aleksliving
Nice tutorial! I'm just not sure from where I'll get the Api Token. Is that just the Client ID when creating a new app on the Spotify developer website?
@pierluigifitt
Looks really good🤤 One Note: I‘m personally not a fan of highlighting the outgoing transactions since those are happening quite often and can get pretty distracting. Have you tried making those just white and highlighting the incoming ones in some way?
