We are deeply saddened by the death of two UVic students last night. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to the students’ families and loved ones, to whom we offer our sincerest condolences. The university is offering counselling and other supports.
Effective Monday, we will no longer hold in-person exams. This is part of enhanced health and safety precautions being implemented in response to rising COVID-19 numbers.
Due to extreme weather conditions, the university will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 12. All classes are cancelled. Only services necessary for the continued operation and safety of the campus will be staffed.

Effective Sept. 8, UVic is recommending that everyone wear a mask in public indoor spaces on campus such as hallways, stairways, entryways and other high-traffic areas where physical distancing can’t be maintained for longer than brief periods.
