Since 1927, we’ve taught people to think differently. Join a University with a progressive history & be at home in a city embodying Northern warmth.
#TeamHull
When you study at the University of Hull, you're joining a University that’s full of possibilities and impossible successes, based in a city that epitomises Northern warmth and resilience.
We're all heartbroken by the loss of our student, Libby Squire and our thoughts are with Libby's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Below is a message from our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Susan Lea:
We're looking forward to welcoming the Princess of Wales to the University of Hull today.
@KensingtonRoyal
will be taking part in a Rugby League inclusivity session, hosted by
@TheRFL
,
@HullFCOfficial
, and
@UniOfHull
at our Allam Sport Centre.
Our thoughts today are with the family and friends of Libby Squire. We continue to offer support to anyone in our community in need. We are here to help.
We are delighted to welcome Alan Johnson, author and former Secretary of State for Education and Skills as our new Chancellor.
An honorary graduate of the University of Hull in 2018, Mr Johnson is a staunch advocate of the University.

#WeAreTogether
We're feeling the loss of Libby Squire deeply today and we’ve created space for tributes and messages in a quiet area opposite our library.
Members of the community are welcome to join us in leaving tributes here and coming together to support each other at this difficult time.
We understand that some of you will be worried or upset at this difficult time.
If you need any support, or someone to talk to, our student support team will be on the Ground Floor of the library tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.
Thank you to everyone who came together at the library plaza to share a minute’s silence as we remember Libby.
The ongoing support and kindness everyone is showing each other is incredibly moving.
Did you know the
#Hull
-born logician, mathematician and philosopher noted for introducing the Venn diagram, John Venn, died on this day in 1923?
A man so brilliant, we named a building after him!
The University of Hull joins the nation in paying tribute to Her Majesty, The Queen. Many of our students and staff will have fond memories of Her Majesty’s visit in 2017 to open our Allam Medical Building.
Thank you to everyone who made their way to the library plaza in solidarity to show support for finding Libby and for one another.
This continued support is greatly appreciated by Libby’s family and friends.

Here at Hull we've proudly been declared a University of Sanctuary for our commitment to creating an accessible and supportive environment for refugees and asylum seekers.
This includes a number of full scholarships and tuition fee support for many!
We've had feedback over the last week that some people are unhappy with our plan to offer up to 14 scholarships to refugees living in the local area. To these people, we would like to say: Tough. Jog on.

Iggy is a resident booper who loves to have walkies here on campus.
Iggy is a support dog who now wears our t-shirts since his recent operation... needless to say he’s always ‘Happy to Help’.
Absolutely loving these pics sent in by Biology graduate Claire Butler-Westmoreland.
Left is Claire's Mum, Jane, who studied Geography and Sociology.
The picture was from 1971 when Jane was at Lambert Hall where she even met Dad (pictured with Grandad), who studied History!
