The reason people don’t protest trump at his rallies is because protests are target for political change— they’re targeted at those from whom you expect better. They’re indignant and definitionally hopeful. But y’all don’t care to think about any of that.
@Laura4Senate
@jennybethm
For me, the most ridiculous thing about that was her saying she expected her white sons to be "nerds", and expected her black adopted son to be "cool".
@anyoneallen
@justinbaragona
I'm not going to watch this, but I assume she doesn't mention who rioted, who destroyed that wealth, and why they destroyed it.
@davidhogg111
You're saying Black Americans aren't everyday people. Tell us, where did "woke" start before some people turned it into a pejorative?
If Black Americans aren't everyday people, then who are?
@bronxkid55
@DavidDTSS
Is that why he told the people who paid to see him to "shut the fuck up", and suggested that all the people who booed were poor?
@RVAwonk
You wouldn't have the authority to do this even if it were valid. Don't use Black American men who were lynched over false accusations of rape of white women to try to exonerate Hamas rapists. Don't compare Black American men to evil terrorists *period*.
@jacobin
"We're going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the revolution. By which I mean: nothing."
- Che Guevara
Sounds about right for a left-populist.
@Penny_J_Thomas
It's almost becoming a tradition for these people to delude themselves into believing they're the main force in the Democratic electorate, only to be shown they're not.
@trymainelee
Let's see... they have a "lack of excitement" in the President who has done more for Black Americans, both specifically and as a function of doing things for Americans in general, than any recent President, including Obama. Is that what you're saying?...
@jacobkornbluh
She's trying to redirect *very credible charges of anti-Semitism* away from the left, and throwing us POC under the bus in the process. We aren't responsible for the largest outbreak of anti-Semitism we've seen in a lifetime. The left is responsible. She's responsible.
@IsaacHayes3
Stephen Miller is behind this. To the black American nativists out there, I told you so. The "so" is the fact that your white nativist allies consider native-born Black Americans to be every bit as "alien" as they do Latin American "illegal aliens".
@DrJillStein
"There is no scenario where adding Ukraine to NATO is worth nuclear war & human extinction."
You should be telling Putin that. But then again, he probably sent word that you should say that.
@iamchanteezy
Re Hakeem Jefferies, they're already trying to paint the Black man as the aggressor, when all he's guilty of is not cowering away from their attacks.
Norman Finkelstein blames "the High Priests and Priestesses of woke politics" for hurting Bernie Sanders' campaigns. He calls the New York Times "so woke it can put you to sleep" and claims that these "ultra-woke cutting-edge supposed radicals" are now going after Cornel West.
@benshapiro
@MattWalshBlog
I'm Black, and you're telling me I have to tolerate white ethnofascism in order to be tolerant. That gaslighting talking point is dumb. It really is.
@TimRyan
@KamalaHarris
@TimRyan
decided to put left-wing white populism into practice. He pointedly ignored Black voters, and pandered to racist white working-class Trumpers.
@TimRyan
gave us Senator J.D. Vance. Why should we listen to
@TimRyan
?
@mattsko
@BillPascrell
It was obvious from the first video we saw that the person who shot he was wearing a suit and not a uniform. Besides, what difference does it make? I wouldn't even argue with them about that.
@Harpers
@JoeBiden
@BernieSanders
I did a page search for "Black Democratic electorate" on that article. It wasn't found, which means the article is worthless, except as an example of left-populist denial.
@LeverNews
@davidsirota
For Sirota and other left-wing populists, the "economic-class war" is their effort to get anti-Black working class whites to buy into "economic populism" with the understanding that they won't pester them about *social/racial* progressivism,...
BREAKING: The IDF just published footage showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the evil mind behind the October 7 massacre, escaping in a tunnel under the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
He is accompanied with children which is a known Hamas tactic to protect the terrorists
The closest thing to a Black person I see is that caricature of Jeffries. After what you all did in Detroit, I don't think it's going to get any better.
@juliaioffe
@samstein
It's very reminiscent of the Gore campaign in the way that the "cool kids" press corp tilted toward the Republican candidate and didn't try to hide their mocking contempt for the Democratic candidate.
@AOC
The new "Embrace the Base" slogan (Jim Clyburn was right, wasn't he?) isn't going to work. By the time you realize why it doesn't work, it'll be too late.
@theintercept
@ggreenwald
You all may as well. The only difference between the populist left and right is, left populists try to finesse their white ethnocentricity, while right populists are closer to being honest about it. Notice that I didn't say they're honest about it...
@shaabiranks
What the hell? "Free Palestine" students (and non-students) were the ones driving Jewish students out of spaces and blocking them from entering spaces. Your analogy is upside down and ass-backward. I'm Black. Who do you think I sympathized with?...
@JamaalBowmanNY
@TheJewishVote
Damn, LOL. The fact that you had to go the "Blacks for Trump"-type route shows just how much trouble you're in, and that you *know* you're in trouble.
@juliaioffe
@samstein
...or the way the same "cool kids" destroyed Howard Dean's primary candidacy because they thought he got too enthusiastic in a too uncool way at a rally.
