Today marks our 21st birthday of the SK breakfast show starting.
To wake up the greatest people in the greatest place on Earth is a huge privilege which we never take for granted.
So, from us, to you. THANK YOU for being there.
❤️
Hi all. I wont be on the show today as sadly my very good friend lost his brave battle to cancer yesterday. Please look after Steve while I'm away. Much love, Karen x
Today we officially become adults as the S&K Show is 18!
We never dreamed we'd make it this long.
Whether you're a new listener, or been there from Day 1 we're very lucky that you decided to grow up with us.
THANK YOU.
Love, Steve and Karen ❤️

Throwback to Metroland on the show this morning... exactly 12 years to the day that the keys were handed back over and it was shut down 😢
Did you throw up on the pirate ship too? 🤢 😂🎢
Devastated to hear about the passing of the lovely Dave Myers. An amazing man who we were very lucky to have worked with and had on the show in the past. RIP to an absolute gentleman.
Very sad to hear that John Hays has died.
A really top bloke who started his travel business empire from a table in his mams shop in Seaham.
Thoughts are with Irene and his family.
Rest in peace John.
We are very excited that

What a day!! Loved every second (even the tough bits) Massive respect to all taking part, the organisers and volunteers, and of course the thousands of spectators!
Update:
Steve has had PCR test back and it’s negative. Hoorah!
Resting the broken voice today and should be back with Karen tomorrow.
Good job this morning Karen! ❤️
The iconic Sycamore Gap tree on Hadrian's Wall Path in Northumberland has been felled overnight.
We're waiting more information on this.

Another update: Karen has tested positive on a lat flow this morning.
She is working from home and Steve who is negative is back in the studio.
Please bear with us while we still try to bring you a show.
Lots of love and stay safe all.
Wishing you a Happy New Year from us Steve and Karen (and of course Ted) 😀
Sending love and best wishes to you and your family for 2024.
Thank you for being a big part of the show this year. We would be lost without you. ❤️
We just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’, to YOU for being so supportive this week while we get used to our new studio.
We’re really lucky to have you on the other end of the microphone every morning ❤️
This tragic news has sent shockwaves through the Northeast Radio Industry.
A bright light has gone out and we send our love and support to Lisa's family.
We are so sorry and saddened to share with you that after a short illness our beautiful colleague Lisa Shaw has died.
Everyone at the station is devastated and thinking about Lisa’s lovely family. She was a brilliant presenter, a wonderful friend and a loving wife and mum.
