After 2 weeks of development, Archiverse is back online!
This is the biggest Miiverse archive on the internet. Millions of drawings, posts, screenshots, replies, and more are stored on this website, totaling 17TB of data for anyone to see. Enjoy!
On this day 4 years ago, Japanese player あお set one of the most legendary times in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe history: a 1:27.323 on 3DS Piranha Plant Slide 200cc.
To this day, it is still 7th worldwide, the oldest time that is currently on a worldwide top 10 in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Good evening. The user "Alberto" is a Mario Kart social experiment conducted by multiple world record holders in an effort to construct the optimal Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Time Trialer. We are finished with our tests. Thank you for participating.
This was and still is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever done in any Mario Kart game and yet is one of the funniest images I’ve ever taken in my entire life.
Sadly I could not participate in MK8U’s shutdown today (I watched the solar eclipse in Mexico away from my Wii U)
Mario Kart 8 has had a huge impact on my life. It morphed me into someone who sets high expectations from myself and to never give up.
Thank you for the memories!
It took 1678 days, but I no longer have an MK8DX World Record. No, I'm not upset nor do I care that it happened. I'm super happy with how far this game has come and how I took part in its history. I've moved on long ago.
Besides, I still have 6 MK8U World Records anyway.
I started playing this course in order to improve my online driving for 200cc, but I never thought I would end up beating one of the strongest world records in the game as a result. This actually impresses me.
3DS Piranha Plant Slide 200cc World Record :)

I’ve always believed that vaccines are helpful. I’ve never questioned their efficacy
…Until now.
My mom just got diagnosed with an enlarged heart. According to her doctor it’s because of the 2nd dose Pfizer vaccine.
I’m not sure what to make of this. I need time process it…

2021 Goals:
•Land a software engineering internship at Google/Facebook/Amazon etc
•Continue my 4.0 GPA at university
•Fully cure my eyesight problem
•Grind the gym every day for body building
•Obtain more self-confidence / happiness along the way
If you told me a few years back that I’d lead a World Cup team to win the title, I wouldn’t believe you.
I’m so happy for us. USA is not just a team but a friend group. Every day I enjoy playing and talking with these people, and today, it showed.
GGs Japan! It was a fun match!
For those wondering, I dropped artificial ascent. I lost motivation to beat it ever since it dropped from the main list.
I will instead jump from stereo madness to a top 5 demon. My logic is that no matter how long it takes, it’ll still be on main list when I beat it lol
I’m not actively going for WRs anymore. Eyesight problems + lack of motivation are really starting to get to me now. When MK9 comes out, maybe that will change. For now, I’m out
Almost every top player in any video game (including myself) has gone through this skill progression of different phases. I’ve compiled this based on my own experience as well as dozens of other accounts.
Scroll down in the comments on explanation of the different phases.
Please stop bagging just drive forward but not too fast and also stop using the same yoshi combination I want to use my morton steel driver monster tires to compete against 99999VR players (the best players in the world)
I still won't play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as often as I used to since I have a lot going on IRL, but I still want to achieve World Records on the new tracks before I get bored of the game again. I am extremely excited to see how this goes. I may start streaming again in the future.
So apparently my eyesight problem is not related to my eyes itself, but rather, it is related to how my brain processes my vision. I have a severe case of Visual Snow Syndrome, and I am unsure if my condition is even fully curable at this point. I may be gone for a long time.
During one Sunday in November 2016, I was playing Dry Dry Desert. During a good pace, my mom distracted me to tell me to do my laundry, causing me to fail the ending which cost a sub 1:52.
Today, it’s now the longest lasting Mario Kart 8 World Record, lasting for 6+ years.
For reasons beyond my wildest imaginations, one of my YouTube videos has been blessed by the enigma known as the YouTube algorithm.
It's about to hit 100k daily views at this point wtf is going on
Tune in 9/23 at 3 p.m. PT for a
#NintendoDirect
livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on
#NintendoSwitch
games launching this winter.
Wait until the people in the comments realize bagging isn’t actually a good strategy and is actually a plan b
Good players win -> casuals complain -> nintendo changes the game -> good players win -> casuals complain -> repeat
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Item Smuggling / Sandbagging is NOT dead. Baggers need to change how they slow down. A well done respawn can allow a player to keep pulling strong items and even REMOVE weak item status!
I have held and kept the Mario Kart Stadium 150cc World Record without losing it for an entire year. Time flies by fast, doesn't it?
It's a shame that I've lost interest in Mario Kart Time Trials. I now play osu! standard, instead.
Artificial Ascent Day 4: Again, only played for a few hours today, but I ended up passing one of the hardest parts of the level according to Technical (Speed). Next goal is to execute a 64 to 100 percent run.
Having a good time trial mindset is a life skill.
You learn patience, perseverance, and diligence. If you’re a top-level time trialer, you learn to not succumb to imposter syndrome. You set your goals high and challenge yourself.
It will take you far in life, as it did with me.
I'm going to be working at Tesla for the next few months, so I unfortunately won't be able to make gameplay videos in the meantime until April.
I do have a couple of high-quality video documentaries I'm currently working on though, and they're turning out great so far.
