Huge Gaps on any instrument will test the 1st 10 min & 1st 30 min High/Low. If they breach, the trend resumes and picks up steam, if not, the trade opens on the other side. But traders are impatient and pre-empt the trade before the market shows its hand.

Cannot ask a better trend day like today. Nifty moved down 223 points from day's high. Caught a very big move intraday with 40 lots of 10900 PE bought in the morning. It is my first ever 6 figure profit day. A year back I was trading for Rs 500 to 600 a day. Have come so far :)

My simple advice to anyone reading this. Every single trading day in your career, have a Daily Stop Loss. Say 1-2% or any number you are comfortable with. And never forget to stop trading for the day when daily SL hit. You definitely will survive to see another day trading.

Unprofitable traders will turn profitable if they trade a backtested system & keep trading through drawdowns. Not many are psychologically resilient & they end up abandoning the system during drawdown, missing the trades which might have pushed the equity curve to new high.

Intraday trading is the one of the low risk type of trading. You take a position in morning & close it by EOD and sit on cash awaiting new opportunities next day. Also taking leverages & scaling up in intra is much safer than swing/positional. Overnight sleep is better than risk.

STT was introduced in 2004. Nifty was barely trading at 1800 levels. Full time traders did not feel the cost at that time. With Nifty at 15k, STT costs huge for traders to trade in Futures. In same way, traders who don't see the downside of #PeakMargin now, will see it later.
