The Student Media Poll is excited to announce its full voting roster for the 2022 college football season ahead of tomorrow’s Preseason Football Poll release.

NEW POLL: Alabama claims the top spot in the 2022 Preseason Football Student Media Poll, while Ohio State and Georgia follow closely behind.
In total, 105 ballots were cast by SMP voters and 66 teams received at least one vote.

FOOTBALL POLL: The third season of Student Media Poll is underway!
Reigning champions Georgia are the runaway No. 1 team in the Preseason Poll. Four other schools received first-place votes and 63 schools received at least one vote.

OFFICIAL: We are excited to announce the College Basketball Student Media Poll, beginning in the 2021-22 season. Both men’s and women’s basketball polls will be released weekly.

Boston University takes the top spot in a tight race, with five schools receiving first-place votes and 40 schools receiving votes.

NEW POLL: The first full week of the 2022 college football season is in the books.
A dominant win by Georgia over Oregon sees the reigning champs move up to No. 2. Ohio State falls back a spot after a primetime win over Notre Dame.

NEW POLL: South Carolina is the top team in the first poll of the 2022-23 women's basketball season. The Gamecocks started the season No. 1 last year as well.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Brandon Bailey, the former co-sports editor of the State Hornet. He just recently graduated from Sacramento State.

NEW POLL: Georgia is No. 1 once again in this week’s SMP football rankings following their first ranked win of the season, 30-21 against Missouri.
The Bulldogs earned 43 of 62 No. 1 votes.

The Jayhawks won their final meeting as Big XII opponents with Oklahoma, ending the Sooners' undefeated season and earning bowl eligibility and a No. 23 ranking for KU.
