@Jaywop6 If anything it progresses. Gone are the days of a stale repetitive sounds, and new artists can actually flourish.

People keep saying this but in what way does rap change if Drake hangs it up?

@RappMaddd @Jaywop6 Drake’s absence won’t beget this for the same reason y’all believe he’s a vulture. Lol. New sounds are harder to “grassroot”. They need a “co-signer”. An “inside guy” with big business backing. Out of curiosity, which “new sound” in rap has genuinely wowed you ? 🤔

@RappMaddd @Jaywop6 I’m convinced that yall don’t listen to him because he’s a lot of things but repetitive is definitely not one of them. & if anything these new artist are the ones repetitive… it’s a reason why its no new artist that’s broken thru to superstardom yet. Drake ain’t holdin them back

@RappMaddd @Jaywop6 Ppl will say Drake steals different sounds but in the same breath say he’s repetitive and stale at what point do you just admit to just being a hater

@RappMaddd @Jaywop6 That doesn't even make sense. I don't like him, but it's dumb to think that if he didn't exist, it would somehow change people's taste. Someone who sounds just like him would just replace him.
