@garoadmusic PS2 games were built for CRT tv's, which is often a lot more vibrant and brighter than today's displays. They were also much lower in resolution. So the haziness and desaturation may just be a by product of optimizing the best color system for these sorts of old displays

The 3DS is one of my favorite consoles ever. One reason is that it has a full-on reproduction of the KORG M1, so you can make music from the 90's on the fly. You can even export midi tracks from it to edit it in a DAW. #musicproducer #3DS

Anyone feel like the games on the Meta Quest aren't tailored to you? When I search for anime or JRPG games, these are all that turn up, ~12 games at most. Most games on the store seem to be fitness, shooters, or casual games, and don't align with what I play at all outside VR.

When i was browsing on the platform, i got asked to do some weird AI test. Woke up to see i got a label, and my "following " count went to 0. So weird even though I didn't do anything wrong. But then I started browsing around the X Premium page my follower back up. Wtf?

Yes! This is why we're making a VR game that you can enjoy without having to move like crazy! I'm not sure what's up with the VR gatekeeping mindset that some people have, that you can't call something a VR game if it doesn't swinging around your controllers like a crazy bastard.

After 11 years, I am convinced that human laziness & comfort are central to VR's core retention issues. On the "media" entertainment spectrum, the lowest energy gratification system will usually win. And if it's not long-wear comfortable, it is adding friction to reflexive usage.

@shriPlusPlus Good way to put it. As an East Asian I use a slightly different term. Like in good dishes, master game designers or artists can express their ideas with as little "msg" as possible, while beginners have to pile on the msg to make up for their lack of skill. That can be felt.
