We fully expect to reopen on Friday, February 8 at our normal time and with a normal class schedule.

We are aware of a video circulating on social media that shows a former Pittsburg State football student-athlete making overtly racist comments. This individual was dismissed from the university earlier this spring.
To help protect medical professionals in the fight against COVID-19, our College of Technology has donated more than 4,000 respirator masks to our local medical facilities! Also, our Biology Department has donated hundreds of procedure gloves to be used by nurses and doctors!
Due to concerns about COVID-19, PSU will suspend in-person courses effective end of day Friday, March 13. Courses will be delivered in alternative formats beginning Monday, March 30. Schedules for current online courses remain unchanged.

Stay inside. Stay warm. Stay wonderful.
Wanted to take a moment to say ... we get it. We're disappointed, too. There's nothing we enjoy more than seeing our graduates walk across that stage. But this is a crazy time. We have to do what's best for you and all people. Be patient. Stay healthy. We'll get through this.
Guess who's back?!
The route Foxy took today indicates she wants to be a Gorilla:
1. She played some frisbee on the Oval.
2. She stopped off at the Overman Student Center for Einstein's.
3. She headed to Horace Mann to enroll.

Hey, Pitt. Please hear this. We're not blaming our students for anything. We're not blaming anyone. We are reporting data that shows a spike in COVID infection among the student age group.
Many of the new cases can be traced back to weekend gatherings. That's a fact.
Help! Inquiring minds want to know: Who's the mystery Gorilla fan at the KU game at Madison Square Garden last night? Whoever it is, we really want him to know how much we like his sweatshirt.

Pardon us while we squeal for a moment...Gorilla Samantha Reinecke ('07, '14, '18) was crowned Mrs. United States this weekend! Samantha is a special education teacher in Chanute, Kansas, and previously held the title of Mrs. Midwest. Congrats, Samantha!

We sent this strongly-worded letter to Kansas today, and await a reply. In the meantime, we've started the process of transitioning from heat to cool in our buildings. This process takes four days, and we still have fluctuating temps, so bear with us as we make the switch.
Tomorrow morning, the cannon between Axe Library and Carnie Smith will be fired four times to represent the four times of tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001 - 8:46 a.m. (North Tower fell), 9:03 a.m. (South Tower fell), 9:37 a.m. (Pentagon hit), and 10:03 a.m. (Flight 93 crash).

Getting to and from KC just got a bit easier and safer! Congrats to everyone involved in the completion of the latest U.S. 69 expansion to four lanes!

This type of mentality will threaten thousands of lives, if not more. And it will make this situation far worse and last much longer.
Please. Stay. Home.
Spring Break this year must be about helping to slow the spread of the virus. Nothing else. Let's do this together.
“If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I'm not gonna let it stop me from partying”: Spring breakers are still flocking to Miami, despite coronavirus warnings.
