Delaware's primary for governor 6 months from now is the state's most important election in a generation.
I'm running so you have a progressive choice on the ballot with a bold vision to ensure that we're the First State of the 21st century.

As VP Harris considers Gov. Shapiro and Gov. Walz, it’s worth noting that both prioritized & enacted universal free school meals (PA: b’fast despite R Senate; MN: b’fast & lunch w/ +1 D Senate).
In Delaware, despite our near super-majorities, we were told we couldn’t afford it.
Quick
@Tim_Walz
story: Our family was with him at an event, when he noticed that our then 6-year looked a little bored. He remembers Alana’s name despite only meeting her briefly earlier & proceeds to skip w/ her back & forth across a pool like a big kid. Just to make her smile.
Urging caution as the House considers SB313 and its implications. Delaware cannot afford to make a misstep that could threaten 232 years of corporate leadership & 37% of state revenues. We should heed the warnings of Chancellor McCormick (below) & take the time to get this right.
I was humbled & honored to be endorsed by
@DelawareWFP
earlier this week - and now it's time to show the strength & size of the progressive movement in Delaware.
RSVP to join us, this Saturday, for the

Endorsement Kickoff Event!
All across the state’s polling places, we’re meeting incredible Delawareans! It’s been so inspiring to see people turning out to make their voices heard. Democracy thrives when we all show up, and there’s still time to cast your vote for a stronger Delaware! 🗳️
Thank you to the YWCA and partners for an incredibly substantive forum & for the opportunity to share our vision for affordable housing, env justice, community health workers, NGO funding, sexual violence prevention, criminal justice reform, voting rights & Black maternal health.
There are two Delawares. There’s a Delaware of incredible privilege where some do extremely well, but there’s also a Delaware with some of the highest rates of childhood poverty, infant mortality, and health disparities in communities of color.
We have to do better 👇
Who says the campaign trail can’t be full of family fun? Fantastic times talking to voters about our vision for a better Delaware at the Arden Fair today!
Be sure to make your vote count by Sept 10th 🗳️
Honored to receive the endorsement of
@NRDC_Action
! Proud to have worked closely with them on the Biden/Harris Administration’s historic climate agenda and to stop Trump’s attacks on the environment. And the best is yet to come! Read more about their endorsement below.
“Daddy, am I Black or am I White?”
“During the summer, I’m Brown. During the winter, I’m White.”
“I’m not Indian.”
She’s only 7 years-old, but my daughter Alana is already grappling with questions about the complex reality of being mixed-race in America.

It was an honor to attend the Jummah prayer at the Islamic Society of Central Delaware. Imam Arqum Rashid’s Khutbah (Sermon) on the responsibility we have to support each other and conserve our wildlife and natural world was a powerful reminder of how interconnected we all are.
Leadership matters.
These are just a few policies that Minnesota passed with a one-vote legislative majority:
🏘️ Affordable Housing Fund
💊 Lower Prescription Costs
👦🏽 Child Tax Credit
🥗 Universal School Meals
🤒 Earned Sick Leave
🦺 Worker Protections
☀️ 100% Clean Electricity
The very first time Alana met President
@JoeBiden
she asked him to lead on climate change.
He promised he would.
He kept his promise and became the most pro-climate, pro-environment President in U.S. history.
Forever grateful that he gave her generation a fighting chance…
This Teacher Appreciation Week let’s show that we truly respect educators by improving their working conditions.
Pay all educators as professionals.
Restore teacher autonomy.
Enact equitable funding & calibrate class-size based upon student needs.
Expand wrap-around services.
We must fix the disastrous conditions at Indian River Inlet — restoring the beach, removing unsafe rebar/concrete & repairing the jetty. As I committed to
@Surfrider_DE
, we will make the investments necessary to restore safe recreational opportunities & improve coastal resilience
Incredibly inspiring to be at Network Delaware’s Social Change Summit with amazing organizers working for systemic progressive change in affordable housing, criminal justice, civil rights, climate, healthcare and childcare!
Proud to have
@LCVoters
’s endorsement! I've had the honor to work with them on some of the most important issues affecting our future, and could not be more thankful for the work they do to fight for environmental justice. 🌎👇
I got into this race because we need a new generation of progressive leadership — one that will fight for free school breakfast and lunch, universal Pre-K, and meaningful investments in our students and teachers.
Thrilled & honored to be endorsed by

Working together, we can build the First State of the 21st Century by strengthening our schools, expanding economic opportunity, reducing health care costs, and protect our fundamental rights.

is the former secretary of DNREC and since then has been the head of the NWF to fight for environmental justice. He is running to fix our school funding system, create thousands of union jobs, and reduce the cost of living. Learn more here:
Leya has loved the parades and festivals all over the state! Watching her curiosity and the excitement of kids along each parade route, I can’t help but think of Ben Franklin’s adage: A republic, if you can keep it…
For the good of her generation, we need all hands on deck.
To our friends in the Appoquinimink School District, my daughter, Alana, has a very special message!
Please remember to get out and vote FOR the referendum this Tuesday, April 23rd.
Early voting starts today! And Alana and Leya want to know: have you made a plan to cast your ballot?
If not, check out this list of early voting sites and be sure to make your voice heard between now and September 10th!
#Juneteenth
is a powerful commemoration of those who sacrificed so much to abolish slavery and fight for freedom. It has been great to be with activists fighting for racial justice across Delaware.
Great to spend time with the folks from the Committee of 100 sharing my vision for a strong & equitable economy for all that creates & keeps jobs right here in Delaware.
It’s always great to be w/ the Association of Coastal Towns & Bay Beach Association. I’m committed to being a true partner w/ local leaders to bolster the resilience of our beaches, bays & coastal communities, support our tourism economy, and create affordable workforce housing.

Her story is a beautiful tapestry, woven from strength, resilience and the pursuit of the American dream.
As a dad, I'm determined to help her understand that she’s not defined by labels or stereotypes. She has the right to claim her full heritage & create her own narrative.

Leya needed a “pit stop” after we spent some time with the folks at the Delaware State Education Association to share our vision for an improved funding formula, greater educator autonomy, and strong traditional public schools.
What a wonderful celebration of the 210th Birthday of Religious Liberty for African Americans at August Quarterly! Watching our daughters moved to dance by some of the finest gospel choirs in the region was truly a special moment.
“Collin will be one the nation’s greenest governors, putting Delaware on a path to lead the nation in clean energy jobs, climate-smart development and environmental justice for communities most impacted by pollution,” said
@ManishBapnaNRDC
, president and CEO of
@NRDC_Action
And that’s my hope for every child across our state and across our country: that they can define their identities on their own terms and be celebrated for their unique story.

Offshore wind is the most important renewable energy technology for achieving our climate & clean energy goals in Delaware.
SB 265 is on today’s House agenda and we need to make sure it passes! So grateful for the leadership of the advocates who made today’s vote possible.
Today’s the day! Leya and I just voted FOR the Appoquinimink School District referendum and we hope you will too!

Alana can be proud that she’s the descendant of Irish Catholics who fought for the Union and became cops, teachers and soldiers – just as she can be proud of being the granddaughter of Sri Lankans who fled the brink of civil war to build a better life for their loved ones.

#TransDayOfVisibility
, let’s support our trans friends with more than performative posts. It’s time for Delaware to pass the constitutional amendment to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity (HB199) & protect gender affirming care (HB346).
We try to explain that, contrary to what she may hear on the news from certain political figures, she doesn’t have to choose one race or one identity. She doesn’t have to accept an identity that others assign her. Like any of us, she has the right to claim her own story.

Whew, that was hot! Great to be with a packed pavilion of passionate Sussex Democrats for RD 38’s annual Picnic in the Park!
We talked about how we can strengthen public schools, improve access to healthcare, build affordable housing, conserve open space, and lead on climate!
Thank you
@DE_DOJ
for this victory for voting rights. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled, let’s all urge House Rs to join with the Ds to pass SB 3 and enshrine the right to permanent absentee voting, early voting, and mail-in ballots in our Constitution.
