Watching this direct has made me realize what I want in a new Pokémon game: 1) An overworld with room to explore. 2) Pokémon in their environment, not random encounters or just popping up and waddling aimlessly like in Let’s Go. 3) Improved battle animations.

To say I'm disappointed by the D/P remakes wouldn't be accurate, as I expected a Let's Go level abomination. But they don't look good. Aesthetically, they look inferior to the OG game. Don't think I'll be playing this one my friends. My original Diamond cartridge still works.
