@sean_baillie @metpoliceuk 5.5 million Muslims participated on the allied side of the war during WWII. Nearly 1.5 million Muslims were killed in action so praying respectfully to their God at a cenotaph is ok. Wasn’t that why people were fighting for freedom?

@KosSamaras Not just Indian Australians but the vast majority have family links overseas. Travel isn’t a luxury for many but an important factor in life. If it gets too hard/expensive to travel people will stop calling Australia home. We flew Qatar they are by far the best in my experience

@FergusPower1 You disgrace the 🇮🇪 with your bile & bigotry. Ironic you’re playing Spancil Hill a song about the plight & sorrow of emigrants yet you seem to miss its core meaning 🤦‍♂️

@FXMC1957 Don’t forget the Australian in the photo. He stood in protest with them and paid a big price. Smith & Carlos are actually wearing his gloves (hence the opposite hands). They respected Peter Norman so much they were pallbearers at his funeral

@KilclooneyJohn Seriously John you need to stop posting this type of bitter tripe. What’s the point in trying to score cheap political points on tragedy. 🤦‍♀️

@heidimur Why the difference in PPE requirements for group A and B? - highlights that the hi-vis and hard hat are merely costumes to give an impression of action rather that require PPE -- in other words a lie. Media need to stop attending these pantomime dress-up presentations.

@dylanwightlabor There should be no prayers in @VicParliament it’s an archaic practice that excludes many Victorians. Romero move into 2024 -drop Prayers and update the Constitution to replace the current Oath/Affirmation and the sectarian overtones.

@JamesMelville @WomenWagePeace Protests like this are a great catalyst for peace. Irish mothers started the peace process in Ireland - something our male centric politicians tend to forget.

@KilclooneyJohn Given the tricolour recognises that all people are equal you wouldn’t expect to see it there at a celebration of one man lording it over others.

@KosSamaras Yep - the ‘Lucky Country’ has also become the ‘Lazy Country’ in terms of economics. No value-add done on shore compounded by a consumption model that thinks we can build & spend our way forward using imported products & foreign owned construction companies.

@KilclooneyJohn Two men die in tragic circumstances but @KilclooneyJohn is outraged that the story is reported. If ever there’s an insight to the narrowness of the bigoted Unionist mind then John provides it. What a sad bitter man you are.

@KosSamaras Everyone is speaking about this - even those in the comfortable category you describe have kids and grandkids that are under extreme financial stress. And the government (Cth & State) are failing them in terms of policy responses
