The EBU wanted closed first rehearsals at Eurovision to avoid negative reactions to rehearsals and to reduce the pressure on the delegations. Personal Opinion: Based on what I saw on Social Media (and general Media) over the past couple of days, that heavily backfired.

Loreen is the second oldest female to win Eurovision. Linda Martin was 40 when she won the contest in 1992. It’s wonderful to see the contest is not just for 20 something’s but that anyone has a chance to shine.

It's simple, don't allow Russia to take part in any special events, including Eurovision. That will not interfere with anyone's ability to report the news and the free flow of information. But you don't give Russia a platform so they can put forward another Faux Peace song.
