Our agency has been informed that the American Red Cross will be opening a shelter for those people who are still without power due to the ice storm. The shelter will open around 8 PM (2/12/19) at the UAW Local 14 Post at 5411 Jackman Rd, Toledo.

The outdoor warning sirens are meant to warn people who are outdoors to go inside and seek information from local TV & radio. There is no "all clear" siren sound; if you hear our sirens going off a second time that means a second tornado warning has been issued for our county.

FYI-Monroe County (north of Lucas County) tests their outdoor sirens on the last Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am. Thanks to low cloud coverage this time of year, the siren sound carries further and can sometimes be heard in Lucas County. Do not be alarmed if you heard them.
