I donโ€™t get how later stage VC funds feel ok with meeting pre-seed teams, that are clearly very early, sitting with them 3-4 times, some even chat w them for weeks, take them to crazy directions that are so irrelevant and then donโ€™t invest. Founders - if ur early stay w early.

Hard to explain the rush of transferring funds to a new portfolio company, new team, that you chose to invest in, from a fund you raised and manage. This is a wild journey but Iโ€™m loving every minute of it. Only way I want to hustle.

One difference from working at a VC and managing your own VC - far less time to be helpful to different founders. Time to be a mentor. Sit on panels. Have catch up coffees. Saying NO isnโ€™t just to dealflow. Moving more energy to certain people / things vs ecosystem. Tough shift.

Flying bto Tel Aviv with @ELALUSA which I havenโ€™t done in years - I will say theyโ€™ve improved a lot (fingers crossed) but more importantly the plane is majority of Americans flying to visit. I donโ€™t recall flying to Israel like this I think ever. Solidarity, support, we feel it
