Day 4 of trying to commute with my toddler using @hfxtransit . Day 1 route cancelled luckily my partner was home to drive us. Day 2 & 3 no issues. Day 4 route cancelled. Currently waiting on a $40 Uber and will have to carry a 25lbs carseat around all day.

FYI @HfxRegPolice arrived at a nearby location this AM in a van and unloaded their bikes. The bikes weren't used for transport to the scene. The bikes were brought along to be used in their exercise of force.

I live in the Maple (over $3k/mo.) I hear disputes both in and outside the building. Had a pkg stolen from the lobby (building has 24/7 concierge). People use ✨drugs✨ in the building. And no, me and my 14 mo son aren't scared just like we aren't scared of our unhoused neighbors

@HfxRegPolice if you've told folks in custody they are being released on promise to appear then you must release them in a timely fashion. Continuing to hold them is creating a really big problem for yourselves (and after pepper spraying a child I think you have enough problems)

@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau $10 a day daycare doesn't even help parents of daycare aged children! It will be years before it reaches $10/day and any parents who elected him on that "promise" will have school aged children and never reap the rewards

@globalhalifax Houston has been quick to act and a cross province tour to hear from all levels including front line is a crucial step in the change management process. I do think that healthcare for Nova Scotians will be vastly improved under the new Premier's leadership

@hfxtransit Thanks for your response. I do know that the closest alternative is a 1.1km walk (with a 2yo that's 35-45 mins) so when I find out as I'm walking out the door that my bus is cancelled this isn't an option. Plus all alternatives require a transfer (less than ideal with a toddler).
