This is not the solution. Expensive digs with no legal protections is the opposite of a solution. Building and renting affordable (i.e. not 14,000€ a year) housing is but this government comprised of landlords, bankers and the rich would never consider that. @SimonHarrisTD

Queer activists getting searched and arrested at Pride over alcohol possession is just the Gardaí looking for excuses to harass left-wing activists. We've seen it multiple times. At Sunnyvale, May day last year, James Connolly House - whenever a group poses a threat to capital.

Well summed up the frustrations re. @TheUSI #USI22 . The event felt like a mix between a public speaking competition and a circle jerk, where bureaucracy but also social norms made sure that no broader ideological questions could be posed. Student bureaucracy not student movement!
