Bret Holmes was robbed of an incredible moment because NASCAR got trigger happy throwing a ⚠️ that would have made zero difference, nobody was slowing down 100 feet from the line. “But Justin the safety” Not a single driver slowed in the 100 feet they had left. It didn’t matter

The DVP (Damaged Vehicle Policy) is, arguably, a near-sighted attempt to prevent extended caution periods by making race teams work much faster than they should to fix crash damage on cars, and in turn it causes more issues than it prevents, usually with cars dropping more debris
