For
@milwaukeemag
(!), I wrote about a Milwaukee institution: the
@MilwaukeeWave
.
I set out to find the answer to how the Wave are the longest running team operating in North American soccer as they celebrate their 40th anniversary this season.
"The important thing is not who owns the franchise, but that Milwaukee has one."
Thank you for keeping the Bucks in Milwaukee when you did, Senator Kohl. Milwaukee just wouldn't be the same without them.
- Highest winning percentage in Bucks history (69.3%)
- NBA Coach of the Year
- 4 50-win seasons
- 1 NBA title
Thanks for helping Milwaukee feel like it was on top of the world for one summer, coach.
Long live the breakfast club.
The
#Bucks
announce that the watch party in the Deer District has been expanded to north of Fiserv Forum to accommodate the 65,000 fans expected to attend.
If and when Bucks games are played without fans in attendance, I request to have one floating mannequin arm that can be operated in the arena to replicate the Dr. Dave arm wave.
Thank you.
Kudos to the Bucks for caring about the record books and commemorating history, especially as Giannis and Khris continue to climb towards the top of all these lists.
Eric Bledsoe's stats during the Bucks' 3-1 four-game road trip:
- 22.2 ppg on .523/.375/.933 shooting splits
- 6.5 rpg
- 5.5 apg
- +14
After a slow start, which was understandable after a shortened preseason, he came up big in each of the Bucks' games out West.
Following the Game 7 triumph, Giannis gave Bobby Portis a hug and told him, “We’re gonna need you, stay ready.”
I’m sure Portis will indeed return to the rotation moving forward, and you love to see this leadership from GA.
Incredibly strong G League debut for Bucks rookie Jordan Nwora today, who finishes with 26 points on 9-for-14 shooting (3-5 3P, 3-4 FT) and 4 rebounds in 23-and-a-half minutes.
The downside is he left the game late with an apparent ankle injury. Unclear on severity.
After 6-plus years and over 2,000 pieces, this is my last post for BTBP.
I tried to explain what this has meant to me and beyond just seeing the Bucks become NBA champions.
Wesley Matthews has officially cracked the top 10 in defensive rating at 98.8/100 possessions, joining Giannis and Donte in the top 10, per NBA com/stats.
It's a Wes-tivus miracle.
A man listens intently to a question he's being asked. He's looking to quench his thirst. He doesn't break eye contact from the questioner. He grabs the water bottle in front of him, doesn't read the label, unscrews the cap and takes a sip. He realizes his mistake.
It's Dasani.
Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen has agreed on a two-year, $20 million rookie extension, his agent Mitch Nathan of
@CAA_Basketball
tells ESPN. Allen arrived with the defending champions in a trade this summer. He was the 21st pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
"So they make Miles Plumlee's bobblehead into a toothbrush holder and just weeks before they were going to give them away, the Bucks dump Plumlee for Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert. Those toothbrush holders never saw the light of day.
Now, why would they do that?"
It would be totally hilarious for Ersan to get waived by SAC later this week only for him to come back to Milwaukee on a minimum deal.
That's what we call Horst Majeure. Ok, I'm going to bed.
Telling stat on Pat Connaughton: Only player in NBA bubble history to score 15 points, hit five threes, grab 8 rebounds and dish out 2 assists through three quarters in a Game 2.
