I hear from parents who are struggling to afford basic groceries at the end of each month. Meanwhile, a number of greedy grocery chains are raising costs to increase their own profits. This must end. I have a bill to crack down on corporate price gouging.

The 9th District has long been a welcoming community for refugees. I had a fantastic visit to Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America (FORA) in the West Ridge neighborhood. FORA’s incredible staff and volunteers provide over 100 refugee students with one-on-one tutoring.
