Our first long 12-carriage electric train from Switzerland has arrived in the UK today! It’s being hauled to Norwich Crown Point to begin testing & will go into service on our Stansted Express route later this year. It’s the same model as our new Intercity trains.

We have started high-speed dynamic testing of the first of our five-carriage Bombardier trains at the Railway Innovation and Development Centre, also known as the Old Dalby test track. Tests are being carried out on the train’s acceleration, braking and safety systems

Class 321s are due to have their final day in scheduled service on Monday 3 April. They will run between Colchester and Walton-on-the-Naze throughout the day.

The operator is to fit its Stansted Express trains with tables, in a significant customer-focused upgrade that is scheduled to begin later this year and is due for completion by the end of 2025.
