If you believe that Pete Alonso is a guaranteed 40 and 100 guy every year, he’s still got 10 home runs and 24 RBIs left in him this season. If Pete puts up those numbers down the stretch in the final 26 games, the Mets will make the playoffs.

The Mets screwed up not putting Mark Vientos on the Opening Day roster. Could have got three weeks of run and would have helped the team win. Can’t tell me he wouldn’t be giving you better at-bats than DJ Stewart.

That is how you nail a first impression. Phil Maton feels like Addison Reed reincarnated. Not necessarily in stuff, but in stability for a bullpen that desperately needs it. Just one outing but a good start.

I only ever saw one outlet have Mark Vientos ranked as a top 100 prospect. That’s @JustBB_Media . Now is the time for you to take your bow @AramLeighton8 .

I think my new biggest pet peeve is when Mets fans call Cohen Wilpon 2.0.

Do they have flights from Rochester to Tampa? Asking for a friend who went 3-for-5 today and would be a lot better than Joey Wendle.

At 22 years old, Brett Baty is taking competitive at-bats against Zack Wheeler in a playoff race. That’s a pretty good way to develop your top prospects if you ask me.

Signing Blake Snell would go against everything we have believed about the Mets plans this offseason. With that said: Blake Snell Kodai Senga Jose Quintana Luis Severino Sean Manaea Adrian Houser That’s a sneaky good rotation with plenty of both depth and upside.

With Ottavino back, the Mets bullpen is set in my eyes. Give me Conforto and call it an offseason
