A tribute to Tony Chadbourne
It is with immense sadness that we announce that EMAS has lost a hugely valued and dedicated colleague this week to COVID-19. Tony Chadbourne devoted 23 years to working in the ambulance service. Our tribute is published here:
The funeral of our dedicated friend and colleague Tony 'Chadders' Chadbourne will take place this afternoon.
Tony worked as a Paramedic for 23 years and sadly died from COVID-19 in December.
Please join us in marking a minuteโs silence at 12.45pm today, wherever you are.
Today we welcomed Prime Minister Boris Johnson to

We received a call at 8.38pm this evening to reports of a helicopter crash near King Power Stadium. We sent a doctor, two paramedics in ambulance cars, a crewed ambulance and our Hazardous Area Response Team, with the first resource arriving within two minutes of the call (1/2)
We've been blown away by the

Thank you to the

(2/2) We are currently working with our colleagues in Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service at the scene.
We advise members of the public to stay away from the area while we deal with this incident.โ
It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of our HART Paramedic Liam Waring. Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Jade, his daughter Bonnie, his siblings Gemma and Leighton, and his parents Ann and Alex at this difficult time.
This picture of one of our ambulances was taken by 11-year-old Amelia from Coninsgby in Lincolnshire, while she was trying to photograph the Saudi Hawks Display Team at RAF Waddington.
Thanks to Amelia and her mum for sharing this picture with us ๐
Polite notice: sometimes we need to open our back doors to take patients inside who may be on a stretcher.
Unfortunately, one of our crews, last night, went outside to discover this is how their patientโs neighbour had parked next to them, making this impossible.
#PatientCare
No matter how loudly you shout at our crews, how much you beep your horn, or how nasty the notes you leave on our windscreens, if we are treating a patient they will always come first. (1/4)
Lincolnshire Paramedic Julie Wade & ECA Catherine Whitehouse were attending a patient in Spalding yesterday when they had a

Please come and talk to us if you urgently need to leave your house and our ambulance is blocking your access - don't just leave a note! It upsets our crews and we will not see it until we leave. If we can move, we will, but the patient comes first:

Arriving at hospital in an ambulance doesnโt mean you're seen faster.
In fact, you just have to join the queue at A&E like everyone else.
If you don't need immediate medical help from highly-skilled ambulance crews, you might be better making your own way to your local A&E.

Our thoughts are also with all who responded to help those involved.
A tremendously sad day.
We have been made aware of a voice message being shared currently on social media regarding the ambulance response to coronavirus. The alarmist information being shared in the message is not correct. We would urge people to disregard the message and not share it further.
Understandably due to the ongoing incident and criminal investigation taking place yesterday, we were unable to confirm details about the response EMAS gave to the calls received. In response to further media enquiries, Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed we are able to share
