Personally, I don’t really care that Chief doesn’t always wear his helmet in the show. But Pablo’s wrong. A character like Chief has made connections with fans through his body language and tone of voice for over 20 years. I felt more emotion in scenes like this than the show.

“I remember when people played a game just to have fun and not worry about dress up!” I mean, cool, but even with Halo 3 the hunt for Recon armor was a big deal on top of the fun. I wish people would quit pretending intentionally that customization in Halo was never a thing.

Confession: While I like the semi-open world Halo Infinite has and doing the various side missions is neat I probably would have preferred a traditional Halo campaign with distinct missions and locales. A big problem with Infinite is everything all blends together and feels samey

The more I see certain fans refuse to think when they say nothing 343 has done for Halo is any good the more I’m tempted to write up a massive examination of what 343’s done with games, books, etc. to bring their good qualities to the table for all to see and evaluate.

I doubt Marty sincerely cares about humans and Forerunners. Nor do I think he really cares about 343’s performance as a company. Seems obvious to me he’s trying to butter up a segment of Halo’s fanbase to milk them financially for whatever future work he has planned.
