. Architect: 🎫👨👩👧👧BRIGHT SIDE NIGHT fundraising - Suns fans and I have donated 20k and counting kids to attend Suns games!
Seeing all this James Harden crap, for the second year in a row, I'm reminded once again that Devin Booker never asked out, always openly supported Phoenix, and waited until the time to strike.
Now Book is blitzing the league with the team he loves.
3 yrs ago today, the Suns lost their 10th straight game of a 17-game losing streak that would drop their record to 11-50.
Their best players: Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton & Mikal Bridges.
Today, those same guys are on an 11-game winning streak, with a 41-9 record.
Hey all non-Suns fans who happen to see this:
We don’t feel bad at all for having a healthier team than our opponents these playoffs. Not one bit.
Why? 2007, 2006 and 2005. Let’s include 2014, 2009 too.
Chris Paul doesn’t either, for his own historical reasons
"Tell him I love him. Always, no matter what. That's what I told him."
--Bridges, on what he said to Ayton after the game, after Ayton was benched and had an altercation with coach
Pretty freaking awesome that the Suns have three different MVPs so far these playoffs:
MVP, Round 1 vs. Lakers: Devin Booker
MVP, Round 2 vs. Nuggets: Chris Paul
MVP, Round 3 vs. Clippers (so far): Deandre Ayton
Let's hope there's one more round in their future!
Suns fans young and old are smiling with misty eyes right now over this Suns team. They've got something for everyone, and their leader Devin Booker can't stop reminding us how big a Suns town this is. He brings it up every single time he's asked about fan support.
Devin Booker’s offensive numbers are down
Deandre Ayton’s offensive numbers are down
Chris Paul’s offensive numbers are down
Yet the Suns are 4-1 with the league’s second best net rating, 2nd best defense and all three have incredible offensive gravity
Remember when LeBron and the Lakers were CLOWNING the Suns at the end of game three?
Suns won Game 4 and are up by 30 at halftime of Game 5.
How the turn tables.
That injured Lakers team beat Golden State, who were 'contenders'
That injured Nuggets team beat Portland, who many thought could upset the Suns or Jazz
That injured Clippers team beat the Jazz, who many thought were the Finals favorites
Suns blasting all of em
ABC reporter: “Did it feel like the Finals?”
Middleton: “It was must win”
No mention of the Suns missing both All-Stars and needing max effort to barely win
Suns are 32-11 since signing Cam Payne off the street. Payne had been out of the league all season til then. Started with a phone call from Monty Williams while Payne was in his pool mid-summer, right before the Bubble.
Suns replaced Mikal and Cam with Kevin Durant and T.J. Warren as the main returning pieces.
They also will add Darius Bazley and Terrence Ross to the wing/forward rotation to compete with eventual returnee Landry Shamet.
Still need point guard insurance
"The constant losing. That's what gets to me and has always gotten to me. Maybe one day, there will be beauty in this. That we went through the ringer to get where we need to go and that's my job to make that happen." Devin Booker after

lose 8th straight game Sunday night.
Monty Williams might have just made the toughest, most impactful adjustment of his career. -- sitting Chris Paul the last 5 minutes of a tight game where CP just had a real bad matchup
In the Suns favor, IF they want Goran Dragic to replace Chris Paul, the Suns can offer the most money to the Dragon for the rest of the year (proration of $4.5 million).
Confirmed with a team source: The
@Suns
are NOT planning a post-Finals parade. They don’t want to celebrate a loss.
Back in 1993, they had a parade to celebrate the team despite their loss to the Bulls. 300,000 fans showed up to thank the team for their efforts.
Lillard goes Milwaukee as part of a 3-team deal with Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected MIL 1st, and unprotected MIL swap rights in 2028 and 2030 to Blazers. Phoenix lands Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.
So happy for the Phoenix
@Suns
and all the Suns fans out there far and wide for this awesome playoff run that's now hitting the Conference Finals for the first time in 11 years.
We've been through the muck, most of us, and as recently as 18 months ago
Dwight confirmed the Lakers really really wanted this game because the Suns beat them in the playoffs last year.
Now they got LeBron, AD healthy and added Russ and Melo...
And still were down 32 points in the third quarter...
Mark Jones on ESPN at the end of the third quarter as the Suns are down 31 to Denver: “At what point does Monty Williams say ‘let’s rest our starters’”.
DA all day
"Just being a Phoenix Sun, I’ve been here since I was 16 and I’ve seen everything, I’ve seen the organization, I’ve seen Book when he first got to Phoenix I was in the 11th grade. And just being for high school, college and now the NBA and making some noise...
After 7 Bubble games, the
@Suns
are:
--1st in victories with 7 (next highest is 5)
--1st in net rating with +11.2
--4th in offense
--3rd in defense
--1st in our hearts
As we anticipate the return of Devin Booker tonight to reconstitute the Suns preferred starting lineup for only the 8th time in 56 games, let's give it up for Torrey Craig!
Craig has started 43 games, setting career high 3%, replicating a lot of what we lost in Jae
👋👋
Lakers fans: If LeBron and AD were healthy, Suns don't stand a chance
/LeBron, AD healthy. Lakers down 32 in 3rd before Suns pull foot off gas
Lakers fans: Just wait till Kendrick Nunn and Trevor Ariza get back!
Good news: Paul's thumb fracture is not season-ending (unlike an ACL, for example).
Also good news, Suns are very deep and can maintain their top seed by playoffs simply by playing .500 the rest of the way, with an easy schedule, in time for CP to return.
Bad news: this sucks.
After days of negotiations between the Suns and CP3, I'm told by close source that a deal may already be in place. Nothing is finalized but I'm told the deal in place will bring CP3 back to Phoenix while giving the Suns Flexibility in future years!
National media are clearly underplaying the Suns 18-game win streak.
Imagine the avalanche of headlines and tweets if LeBron or Luka had a streak even half this long going...
After that fun Bubble run, the Suns finish their 73-game schedule this way:
34-39 record
Offense: 12th
Defense: 17th
Net Rating: 14th (+0.5)
Assist Ratio: 1st
Effective FG%: 14th
True Shooting: 7th
-Youngest roster in NBA
SVP on Sportscenter tonight: no team has had a 6+ game lead at the ASB since Jordan’s Bulls in 1997.
All three previous teams with 6+ game lead at break have won the title (all Jordan’s Bulls)
the Suns have no All-Star starters though
Coolcoolcool
Mikal Bridges just said the guy who's going to surprise us the most is Cam Payne. Says Cam's been working so hard on his game and his body, "he's not messing around".
Gotta say I'm excited about that!
Rubio's $17 million per year with the Suns seems high, right?
Wellactually, it barely cracks Top 20 salaries for NBA point guards... behind Scary Terry Rozier's $19.3 million from Charlotte today.
Devin Booker is the Suns first Player of the Month winner in almost 11 years (Amare Stoudemire, March 2010... the last time the Suns had a playoff run)
So far this season:
Kelly Oubre Jr is what we always wanted from Josh Jackson
Frank Kaminsky is what we wanted from Bender (the realistic version)
Jevon Carter is what we wanted from Melton / Canaan / Okobo
Unfortunately Cheick Diallo = bad Chriss so far
Deandre Ayton addresses contract talks, saying he's "disappointed" a deal hasn't gotten done and he wants to be respected like his peers as ESPN reported last week contract talks were stalled over getting rookie max extension.
#Suns
So the Celtics get two All-stars with a barely winning record... that’s FIVE teams with multiple All-Stars. The Suns have the league’s 4th best record.
and the Suns should accept the “only one can go” argument?
Since starting 8-8 last season the Phoenix Suns are 82-22
That’s 22 losses in their last 104 games
For reference, only 12 other NBA teams this season have 22 or less losses in just the 46-51 games played so far
Media is so weird about Jokic. Clearly, he's an instigator, both on the sideline in Phx and here in the Suns timeout huddle.
But it's 'victim' in Phoenix and 'great gamesmanship' in Denver
jc
For those who are new to what the Suns are all about, they've been great all year:
43-13 since Jan 28*
27-11 against winning teams*
24-12 on the road*
25-12 in the clutch**
*best in NBA
**2nd best in NBA

@FlexFromJersey
HIS DUE! He's been calling this since summer, and now all the national heads are confirming he was right all along.
It just took the Nets a few more months to think about it, and a new Suns owner to push in all the chips.
New owner Mat Ishbia lays the boom, acquiring best player traded in-season in decades in first 24 hours as owner.
Welcome to the Suns, Kevin Durant!

Only diehard Suns fans would know this, but we KNEW this team would be good if they could just get down to 2 missing persons at a time. (Baynes, Oubre) still out.
Next time you want to call Deandre Ayton soft, let me hit your shoulder so hard you don't know where you are, can't lift your arm for two minutes and let's see if you can stay in the game until the feeling comes back. No stopping of the clock to catch your bearings either.
Clips win Game 5: Clippers are focused, energetic and ready. The Suns can’t figure them out!
Suns win game 6: Clippers are so so tired, they can’t be expected to have any energy left
Booker on what he was thinking as the clock wound down and he clinched his first playoff spot of his career:
"I was honestly thinking about Friday already and thinking about playing against Utah for the top of the conference."
Monty Williams on national media picking the Lakers almost universally: "They didn’t predict we would win 51 games, so why would we listen to them now?"
Says they're not bitter at all, laughed it off that they're feeling any negativity on facing the Lakers in round one
Suns injuries right now include all top 7 players, if you include Mikal playing on a sore knee.
Paul (hip, day to day)
Booker (groin, weeks out)
Bridges (knee but playing thru)
Cam J (knee, weeks out?)
Ayton (ankle, day to day)
Cam P (foot, weeks out)
Jae C (ego, all time)
Oubre loves Suns potential, says its “gonna be a beautiful day in Phoenix” when they put it all together
(Still can’t believe he’s one of the oldest guys on team. He’s 23)
"I'm telling you, Ja Morant, this team is 18-10 versus teams that are .500 or better. I think the Memphis Grizzlies are going to be there when it counts down the stretch. Mark it down."
Jay Williams says

won't reach finals (w/video)

I find it interesting that the teams that load managed are the teams that suffered the most injuries and/or fatigue these playoffs
The Suns did NO load management and had the most energy in Game 6 of the WCF

Big message to Suns Sixth Man Members:
If you DARE buy your playoff tickets this week only to turn around and sell them to the highest bidder, you HAVE to make sure they are SUNS fans -- make the buyer answer questions only a real fan could answer
DA: Look at me, I'm a 18/12 guy at age 21
Suns: But trust us, if you become a 14/11 guy who spends most of his focus on non-stat-filling defense that helps us make the Finals that's your best chance to reach your career goals
DA: Okay cool, I trust you
Suns: suckaaaaaa!
